1. because he lost, it wasnt a bad decision, he TAPPED out...he had his shot...and tapped, following the normal MMA rules he should drop back down and make his way up again

2. he is going to do the exact same thing in a rematch, AS will know exactly how the pace and punishment is, BUT AS will be healthier this time...if AS with a messed up rib still pulled out a TRIANGEL...imagine a healthy silva

3. he already did everything he had to do to win, in a rematch there isnt ANYTHING he can do differently...he did the perfect gameplan and lost...sonnen cant commit to a gameplan, in a rematch the same mistake will be made again, this is why he has so many losses, he loses himself in the fights and always ends up making a mistake

sure we can have a rematch i dont really care, AS will just beat him again, might be in the fith again, might be in the 1st...doesnt matter really if they fought 10 times sonnen might win 2-3 times by UD...but AS would win most of the time

thing is in a rematch usually the fighter who lost has to improve in order to make a case for him winning this time, like kos vs gsp, kos developed his stand up game and discovered some KO power

sonnen will just wrestle again and either get subbed or KOed coming in...

i know i just hit the same point many times but that was my intention lol

He didn't say an instant rematch, but a rematch.

He actually did the right thing. I know the guy gets hated on a lot for lack of sub defense, but I can guarantee you this guy knows a lot more about sub defense than it appears. He's been subbed by Mai and A. Silva. Both guys aren't exactly amateurs on the ground...
I noticed that he said that too but its literally impossible for it to have been the case.

Its clear from watching the fight that he did not go to sleep. I think he himself doesnt really know what happened but i can guarantee it was the arm bar that made him tap. If he was asleep how did he tap?

Either way, it was most competetive Silva fight in the UFC and eventhough I do like a onesided beating delivered by Silva, it's always interesting to see how a champion would fight under pressure. And like you said, this was the perfect fight under the perfect circumstances for Sonnen. What makes the rematch interesting for me is how it will go under the different circumstances.

Eh. I wouldn't say impossible. The gracie guy was a lot further leaned back than Chael was able too.

RIP Jordan Corder. Watch over me from above brother.

That and Silva's length adds an extra dimension of diffuculty because he is able to apply leverage from unusual angles.

I keep watching the fight and i cant see Chael going to sleep at any moment. You also see Chael struggling to get the arm. I hate to say it because its an absurd statement but Chael has no idea why he tapped.
