Info on Silva's training for Belfort? This fight is huge.
Just curious if anyone has seen or read anything on this cuz I haven't. To me, it looks like this fight is a big hit with the fans but not yet with the media. Not often does a major organization get to unleash arguably best mma striker #1 and 2 against each other. This fight seems to have potential to be best stand up war of all time in mma or maybe even best fight in mma period. Boxing can't seem to face off #1 and 2 these days, since money mayweather is bitching out.

Judging from your name, and the last statement at the end, it's very clear you're a Pacqiuao fan.
You're not wrong though, so it's all good.
This fight should get more hype, but the media only wanna hype the fights that contain people who can speak English or some English. Anderson's never been a big draw, his highest drawing fights had BJ/Florian, BJ/Edgar, Liddell/Shogun, and Chael talking mad shit but aslong as they hype Forrest/Rich and Jones/Bader the card should do very well on PPV.

I would agree that he is not #2 either. Either way it should be a good fight until Belfort gets KO'd

Obviously Vitor has some of the best KO power for fighters in his weight class. But I've got to agree with the guys that he's isn't the #2 Striker in MMA, big difference between being able to knock guys out when you catch them and actually applying it to every fight you're in.

it took awhile for belfort to find and adjust to his most suited weight class. take any top contender in mma (or anyone in mma, but that wouldn't matter much because they aren't as relevant to the sport) and tell me which one has ko'd their last two opponents with 1 punch for each. martin was ko'd as well and knocked through the ropes. people talk a lot about silva's accuracy but landing flush ko shots like that says a lot about accuracy, imo. silva doesn't have ko power. i laugh my ass off at the guy on this thread who said silva will ko belfort. i'm not sure which round belfort will tko/ko silva in but it will be either 1 or 2.

It's precisely because both of these guys are such dangerous strikers that I don't see it being a 'war' or a 'slugfest'.
I see a quick knockout, or a knockout + submission, after a few minutes, or rounds, of cat and mouse and feeling out.
Regardless, its an intriguing matchup and something that has been long overdue in the sense of giving Silva an opponent who can rate with him in the stand up.

Vitor is insanely overrated right now. His only relevant win in the last 6 years is over Rich. Vitor is just like Overeem; he is being ranked based on the assumption he will do well rather than having done well yet.

The way I see this fight going is Silva will weather the storm in the first and if he survives, Belfort will blow his wad and he'll KTFO Vitor in the 3rd.
