Even if it happens in PRIDE too, which I think it does now that I think about it, there's no way it can be real lol. No way. It's like a loud slapping noise and CroCop hits with his shin most of the time so how can it make such a loud slapping noise with your shin?? Think about it....it wouldn't make a slapping noise no matter how powerful a kicker you are. Your shin is waaay too dense to make a slapping noise. It would making a thud and maybe a slight hint of a slap if the sound were magnified. Even when he hits with the top of his foot I still think a slap that loud would have to be hard enough to break your foot at some point. Maybe he likes the sound effect? Or maybe the japs do and UFC just copied their idea?

I truly can't believe you guys are having this argument lol. LEt Cro Cop go to your house and kick you in the leg and your neighbors will probably hear it. And to the guy talking baout how the sound was off, the sound was off the whole night, even with the pre fight interviews. It was some problem with their new HD set up. I highly doubt Dana White was like, "Hey lets have a guy under the ring make loud slap sounds so it sounds like he's kicking him hard!" You guys are funny... Bump this up so more people can have a laugh.

Leg kicks always make noise, so why not body kicks? They came with the power that made Sanchez wince in pain every time.

I'm pretty sure it was the sound of CC's other leg coming back down and hitting the octagon floor. Thats why the timing is off.

pretty sure thats the sound of crocop shifting his weight for his kicks. if you notice he kindof slams his right foot down before throwing a left kick

The sound is the floor dummies...under the octagon there is a big spring and the floor is plywood...it slaps off of the metal frame to make the big noise... it's not the kick that makes the noise it's the other foot slamming the ground.
You even see him plant his foot super hard and that's why it makes the noise.
Also, these rings are designed to make the sounds louder for more excitement, they do it in wrestling, so maybe they did it to UFC this time so that it would be a bit louder and seem like they are hitting harder. Not really cheating, just exagerating :P

The noise we hear is the exact same noise of the wooden suspension of the cage mats. Now the question is...WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
I guarantee you it is not hte noise of CC's leg slapping Eddie sanchez because you can hear that noise and has different timing and a totally different, but scary, sound. The noise in Pride FC is also different AND GENUINE.
Now the question is, did the UFC insert these noises each time CC kicked to add to the hype and back up what dana was saying about hearing CC's kicks. Or did the noise come from synchronized footstomps which happen when CC kicked?
I personally feel like it was artificial because the timing just doesn't match up. Watch 3:23 of the fight to see. The noise happens 3 times, the last one seems like a misfire when it looks liek CC might throw another leg kick
