No way, if it had continued then maybe just due to the flashiness look to it, but if the ref was paying attention, Silvas arms are so damn long, it almost appeared like he was able to push Travis back and up so he couldn't reach him well. He only landed two or three of those punch, and they didn't look like they were hurting Silva.

I thought so but now I think the only danger Anderson was in was from the reff.

Exactly! When I saw it I thought Anderson was getting his a$$ kicked by Lutter. But most of his punches weren't even connecting. Anderson's only trouble in that position was Herb Dean. If he thought he wasn't defending himself then Herb would have stopped it.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Damn straight. I'd take it a step further and say that Lutter suprised the hell out of me. The last few takedowns he got really made Anderson look like a rookie.

I dont know about the ref comment...He was nowhere near danger and he is the champ. It would have taken like twenty more clean shots to get the fight stopped without Silva out/tapping.
