We deserve a Lutter / Silva Rematch

Lutter suprised the hell out of me with his last few takedowns of Anderson Silva at UFC 67. I have a lot of respect for Silva as he is a seasoned veteran who displays extremely honed MMA skills, rarely matched by his rivals. However, I still believe he should not be the champ (yet). After only 2 matches in the UFC he got a shot at the belt. Further more, I am not convinced that Franklin wasn't badly injured going into that fight. The bottom line though, there could be worse fighters holding the title, so I do enjoy seeing Silva with the belt at least a little bit. After seeing Lutter toy with Anderson and throw him on his back, Lutter deserves a rematch. I won't even say wheather or not it should be for the title seing as how he was an oaf coming in over weight and blowing his shot. One things for sure though - Franklin should get a shot at getting his title back - Pronto!

Let's Bang!

It will be the same result as the first time... And if you aren't happy with Silva's ground performance then please remind me how he won again? Oh yeah! I forgot! He was MOUNTED and he REVERSED IT then applied a TRIANGLE CHOKE! Wow he sure does suck on the ground...

First of all the fact he got mounted says something about his ground skills. If that were anyone but a drained Lutter on the mount Silva throwing his legs up and pushing him off would not have worked. Second he caugt Lutter with an up kick that is how he got Lutter in the triangle. And third the triangle isn't even what finished Lutter it was the elbows on Lutters head. Rich is going to take Silva down and pound him into oblivion.

Lutter does not deserve a rematch. Yea, he took Anderson down pretty easy a few times but never did anything with it. The few times he got a dominant position it was reversed or defended very quickly. Lutter did prove one thing he doesn't deserve to be considered at the top of the ladder.

Everyone gets mounted sometimes, and silva did a very nice job of getting out. Only a few shots lutter was throwing were connecting, and the only danger that silva was in was the ref.

Wrong, he was tapping before the elbows if you look closley.

Another UFC/TUF fan. Ever heard of Pride? KOTC? Silva deserved his shot. Franklin was good for the UFC, but he is mid level in Pride, at best.
Are you going to whine when Crocop gets a shot after only one or two bouts?

That fight was pretty good. If travis wasn't worn out from trying to make wieght I bet he would have landed that arm bar in the first round. It was a good show of andersons BJJ as well though, b/c Travis is first class BJJ. I would love to see a rematch hopefully next time a title fight.

no he tapped after the second elbow across his head. Your wrong. Everyone gets mounted sometimes??? If he is the BJJ god everyone is trying to make him out to be his guard would not have been passed that easily. And again how he got out of the mount was a joke. He threw his damn legs up and a tired drained Lutter let him buck him off. WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED TO A NUMBER OF FIGHTERS. Also Silva's takedown defense was absolutely horrid. He loses his next match.
