props to silva, what a win, yea he takedown defence isnt great but thats old news.

He got a nice knee in, amazing precise upkick......now that i watch it again i see lutter didnt really fall into the triangle silva just slapped it on real fast right after the sweet upkick, but it wasnt that tight so anderson still manages to finish with some elbows.

I still think lutter did decent but silva impressed me allot

I'm guessing the reason his triangle couldn't finish lutter off is because he has such long legs. would be so hard to get pressure on there. but he really didn't need to, lutter was completely helpless once the triangle was slapped on.

I agree Silva showed some really nice speed transitioning from the upkick into the triangle

He didn't have the arm through and wouldn't have been able to get it through without Lutter being able to get out of it. Sure, he had his head locked in good but the angle wasn't right to get any sort of choke on. He just had him exposed for some crafty illigal shots.

I like how Silva throws the upkick with both feet. Gives you alot of room to connect.

Was a very nice fight I thought. I wish lutter would have stacked up on silva to try and break it but oh well nice try!

Illegal elbows is the key. Lutter was no where near tapping, and actually looked like he was getting out of it by rolling to his right. That's when Silva started with the jackhammers to the crown of the head. This fight should be a DQ win for Lutter, or at the very LEAST a no contest.

^^ If the shots were so badly illegal the ref. or even NSAC would have picked up on it.

you armchair refs are starting to get under my skin. the elbows were debateable for sure, but to say illigal when the NSAC itself hasn't said a thing? seems to me you people need to move on. had the stomp earlier in the fight hit, there is no debate there, that is an illigal blow, it is very clear in the rules. but the elbows rule is not written very well so it can be debated until all enternity and it won't mean shit until the NSAC itself comes out and says something.

The elbows were legal they came from the side and went across the head, an illegal elbow comes down on the head. The annoucers went over it and said they were ok. Also it is being reported that Silva had surgery on both knees 11 weeks ago and couldn't defend the take down or put a hard triangle on because of them.
