UFC says Couture-Machida not closed to signed and has to be figured out. "not even close to done," contrary to what sources have said.

I don't see why Randy is the underdog ... this is not the same Machida that won the belt, the belt changed him and now he's a MUCH weaker fighter.

I actually see Randy taking this the same way Rampage did... I would've been more impressed if Randy took this fight on Machida's way up not down.

lets be honest, randy is great but his time has passed. When was the last time randy won against an above average fighter.
Last time i remember was 2004, although has changed since then. Tim Sylvia is a bum now, vera sucks, mark coleman checked out in 2005,Gonzaga and one hit wonder, and i don't need to say anything about james toney.

Bitter much? And if he beats Machida you will say that he's a has been and sux also. I can't wait to see what his gameplan is and if he can even implement it with such of an evasive fighter.

i'm not bitter i'm just being real. Its time for this guy to hang it up against elite fighters. He have never won against any so what is the point. He got whooped by a washed up big nog. If you guys are so hyped up about this fight y don't you give chuck to jon jones. Maybe if chuck implements his game plan he can win also. I don't see randy winning this because machida is the better fighter. If he does though i will be the first one to apologize to you and other randy fans.

If Randy no chance against machida that is my stand on this fight. Randy's chin is gone and this is not 2006. If lesnar dropped him machida will retire him.

NO!

NO!

NO!

I love Randy, and as much as I can't stand Machida, Randy is going to DIE if he gets in the cage with him. Randy is great, but his time amongst the elite has passed him by, and Machida, despite his recent setbacks is still one of the best LHW's out there.

PLEASE Randy, do not do this!

It's like Randy is helping Lyoto out. Before leaving the UFC and MMA for good, he is going to get Lyoto back in his winning way's.

Machida is a much better version of Brandon Vera, and we all saw what he did to Couture. Machida by TKO 1st round.

Right, but Machida post belt is a mediocre fighter same way Vera was post layoff. If one looks closely, one can see a fighter's ups and downs, people make the mistake of assuming a fighter fighting one year is the same guy as another year. It's not, it can be a completely different guy. Beating Tito in 2003 and 2010 are two very different things.

2007 Machida would tool Randy. 2010 Machida would be controlled and decisioned quite handily by Randy. Machida's father has seen the change in him, Randy knows it too, that's why he's gunning for this fight now.
