and the great thing is that it will have to be on another stacked card like ufc 125 was, or second of a two title fight card. Because a weak card with Frankie and Gray headlining might lead to sad $$$$

Pettis can wait, it's not like he beat any top 10 lightweight in the UFC yet to get a crack at the title.

True but he WEC 155lbs guys were pretty tough themselves, it's a unification of sorts so it makes total sense IMO, the top 155lbs WEC guys are just as skilled and tough as the UFC fighters are.

On the one hand I like the idea of an immediate rematch, on the other they promised and promoted the unification after last night... I guess it depends on how edgar/maynard come out from possible suspensions etc., but I wouldn't want to be sitting, waiting maybe a year if I were Pettis... again, he goes and fights, and loses, many casual fans would wonder why he'd get a shot after a loss.. big gamble...

Instant rematches are going on my nerves. I like to see new fights, not immediate rematches.

Yeah, I guess he deserves an instant rematch for losing 4 out of 5 rounds because judges are awful and gave him rounds he was clearly massively out landed in. This is exactly what we need the LW division held up even further for no reason when guys like Soti, Pettis, and Miller are on massive winning streaks.
