Sucks for Pettis, but I guess it's got to be that way. That's how they've been handling it when they think the judges screwed it up.
The thing I don't understand is how Dana agrees with the draw and then suddenly comes to the conclusion that Gray somehow deserves a rematch for that draw. A draw is a draw.

Basically this.

I want Pettis - Miller at UFC 129 in Toronto! For the next contender after Sotiropoulus.
PS: good call woth the rematch, but it kinda screws the LW division for a year.
Let's wait for the medical suspenssions though. If Frankie is out for a long time ( rumours of a problem on his right hand), they'll have to try something else!

This isn't exciting for me since I expect the next whole fight to look like rounds 2-5. It was only close in scoring because Maynard caught him heavy in the first, the next time Edgar will be more careful and outpoint him the whole way and probably win an easy decision. I'd actually rather see Edgar-Pettis.

**** Maynard. He came to take the belt, and he couldn't. Nothing to do with the judges. Move on, get in line, next please.

No screw that, how the fcuk can Frankie walk around calling himself the Champ while there is an undefeated guy around he has fought twice and still not beaten.
Maynard has more right to call himself the best in that division than Edgar does right now, and while ever thats the case Maynard deserves to be next in line for a title shot.

If Edgar is out for any stretch of time, the LW division is way to stacked to put on hold right now, this would make an excellent shout for a intrim title fight between Maynard and Pettis which is not a bad thing imo.
In fact Maybe in order to give Pettis a fight in the UFC while we wait until after Edgar vs Maynard 3 to be completed, maybe in order to unify the belts they should just make Pettis Intrim champ and let him defent the Intrim in one fight before the belts are unified. If he loses the Intrim belt then so what move on and give the winner the title shot after instead.

Sounds good to me. I like Pettis but he only won a minor league belt, I'd prefer to see him fight a top 5 UFC lightweight in the interim.

I am normally never one to like seeing immediate rematches, but this needs to happen. They both fought an amazing fight, it was back and forth all night long and to have it end in a draw after monmths of training and fighting like that just really sucks.
I can't wait for their next bout.

Thats the most absurd thing i have ever read. The belt should be on maynard. There was no way the first round was a 10-9 the least it should have been was a 10-8. That being said the belt belongs to maynard.
