UFC (Top) Fighters Contract Situation

Anybody know if there's a chart or place where can see how many fights each fighter has left in his contract?

This is what I found by searching (* fixed from posts below):

Anderson Silva - 4 fights
Brock Lesnar 1
Jon Jones 1*
Randy Couture - 3
Rampage Jackson - 4*
Rashad Evans - Until 2012

You just have to look yourself for the fighters you want. Should be a interesting debate as to see what happens with Rampge/Lesnar after their next fight.

I have an idea on how contracts work. I briefly read one for a past UFC fighter, but don't want to mention his name as unfortunately he no longer fights for the org.

Depending on the caliber it's usually a four fight contract unless you're a champion like GSP then they'll opt for a longer one. It is one sided though because if you lose two even though you're contracted for four the org has the right to release you I believe and "opt" out of it. Really what it means then is you have a two fight contract and you'd better win. Sad thing is you can be a top tiered fighter on a slide and they'll just keep you around. This is reserved for lower tiered fighters or ones who they no longer want to promote or have had a difference of opinions; Roger Huerta and even Randy Couture. They can't fight anywhere else so they're getting bled to death. Overall it's certainly not as bad as Vince in WWE. That guy OWNS his talent for LIFE. Zuffa contracts are of course in the best interest of their org, but by no means unreasonable.

Criteria:
- fight outcomes (FOTN, KOTN, SOFN)
- fan base
- attitude

At the end of the day thank Dana for saving the sport of MMA. He aint greedy man. Look at him blowing his wad of money and doing massive charity. You ever see Bob Arum, Vince, or Don King bother with that. Those guys are garbage and they'll soon be forgotten. How many wrestlers or boxers are taken care of. Not many.

Indeed it would be. The same goes for Randy, he talked of retireing unless he got to fight Shogun or Machida and now he is getting a shot at the latter.

Randy is on a 3 fight win streak, if he beats Machida and then wins 1 more fight against a top contender (Winner of Jones vs Bader) then I can see him getting a title shot.

How amazing would that be for Randy to retire as the 205 lb champion.

I can see him beating Machida via classic Randy pinning him against the fence for 3 rounds. Jones and Bader though are both bad match ups for him.

Anyway im getting way ahead of myself, I think I will stop before I start predicting who he will defend his title against..............

Rampage signed a 6 fight deal with the UFC in March, so still has 4 fights left.

As far as pay per fight - the legends of Pride - both Nogs, Cro Cop, Rua, W. Silva, Rampage all make 6 figures every fight. Some UFC guys like Hughes, Couture, Machida, Ace, Lesnar, Penn. International heroes like Bisping and Akiyama make 6-figures as well. And of course GSP and A Silva.

Everyone else is on like a 70,000 to 5,000 per fight scale.

I think JBJ has only one fight left and will join the 6-figure group if he annihilates Bader.

In an interview awhile ago, Dana said that there were tweenty guys in the UFC making at least 1 mil per year (im sure thats sponsorships, appearences, etc. included). I wonder what they average income for a fighter in the UFC is.
