Edgar Vs Maynard Draw...best outcome??

Is the Edgar vs Maynard Draw the best outcome at the end of the day for the Ufc and possibly TUF?

I know that originally the winner of Edgar / Maynard was suppose to fight Pettis to unify the belts in the lighweight division, and there was much speculation that the winner of Edgar / Maynard would coach against Pettis for TUF 13.

Pettis (5-1 WEC) with recent wins over Roller, and the highlight reel win over Henderson to capture the Wec lightweight title is a less known commodity to the casual fan, being in the WEC. The plus of having Pettis fight for the belt is you unify the belts, and build the Wec fighters reputation against the more established Ufc fighters.

Is it a better for the Ufc to have two known Ufc fighters build the hype of a TUF series as well as build the championship rematch down the road (TUF finale's usually mid to late june). Maynard seems more suited to play a heel with his blah-attitude leading up to the fight, repeatedly calling Edgar "kid" in the post fight presser, and being so bitter in defeat Vs the "good guy" Edgar who seems to be winning the respect of fans more and more.

I guess what I am getting at is having the draw and building up the re-match using a vehicle like TUF better than putting Edgar or Maynard in against an unknown commodity in the realm of Ufc talent (not trying to start a Ufc Vs Wec debate).

I think it was the best outcome in terms of fighters getting screwed, this fight deserved to be a draw and if either fighter won, the other one would be screwed and they probably wouldnt get the immediate rematch.
