How pathetic was "The Hurricane"?

How pathetic was John Halverson for trying to play possum after that knee by Roger Huerta? That was ****ing weak. What a *****! Even before they showed the reverse angle replay that made it clear and while Goldberg and Rogan were commenting on how unfortunate it was that Halverson was put down by an "illegal" strike, I was watching the replays thinking to myself "Wait a minute, that knee didn't hit him in the head, it hit his shoulder or side, it was perfectly legal..." It was a solid blow, but not one that would normally end a fight or even do that much damage (unless the victim is a real pansy). Then Halverson falls on the ground and covers up (I'm assuming) hoping for a phony DQ victory to be handed to him. I'm so glad that Roger Huerta called him out on it during his interview with Rogan. Props to Huerta for standing up for himself and a big thumbs down to John Halverson for being a ***** and attempting to steal a victory.

i was at the bar watching the fight and i was just yelling at the tv "get up you *****. you're not even rocked." everyone around me was saying the knee hit him in the head and i was like no way, not even close. the replay proved it. i hope he was covering up just cause he knew he was mounted and had no chance. if he was trying to get the DQ...thats so bushleague.

a strike like that could have dislocated his shoulder, who knows if he was "playing possum" or if he was really hurt bad by it

The hit wasn't on the head, but it was close. I wouldn't be too sure it didn't hit him in the neck or damage his shoulder. People seem to forget how lethal shots to the body are. =)

Big shots to the head aren't the only way to put someone out.

It takes very little to do VERY bad damage to your shoulder. Last game of rugby in my life I tackled a 250 pound simoin(spelling HUGE DARK GUY LOL) got up was just fine then tackled a 135 pound guy and ripped my shoulder out of socket. Lmao the most delicious pain I have yet to feel.

He could have really done alot of damage I doubt he was playing possum.

I guess that's true, but after the fight ended he seemed OK and he looked like he was giving the ref one of those looks like a soccer player when they take a dive and plead with the ref for a foul. Then it showed him walking around seemingly alright and he was talking to someone (an official?) pointing to his head as if to say "he hit me in the head". If he really was hurt then I take back what I said, but otherwise, what a ****ing *****!

I was going to say that. I think he was talking to Joe Silva (or whatever his name is)the guy who sets the fights up. I might be wrong, but I saw him talking with that guy and they asked him if he got kneed in the head and he nodded yes. So in my books he's a loser and shouldn't get to fight in the UFC again. But if he does make him fight a Ken Flo or some other A level fighter jk

Yea it was Joe Silva and I was going ballistic at the TV cuz I knew it didn't hit him in the head the second it happened. I still don't even think it hit his shoulder. Every replay I saw looked like it hit him just underneath his armpit on his ribcage. It wasn't even that hard either. The guy is a puss and I hope Huerta gets a better opponent next time he seems like a pretty good fighter. Definately wasn't main card material, I knew that before the fight even started. Shoulda been Tyson or Machida in that slot.
