Whats your take on "Lyoto" Machida?

I have never seen him fight before but i was looking at the payouts and saw that he got 36k for winning. So i went to Sherdog to look at his perfect record. He holds wins over Penn, Rich, Bonner and the newest one Hoger. Hes had 9 fights but those are the most reconizeable. Now he must be a good fighters with those wins, but whats your guys take on him?

He's pretty good. His win over BJ was more of a credit to BJ than it was to Lyoto. In case you forgot Penn is a natural lightweight and Lyoto is a natural light heavy weight. Lyoto fought enough for a decision but you would think with a size difference like that he would be able to finish him. But then again it's BJ Penn...

Like I said he is pretty good. He has solid standup and solid ground game. Doesn't really seem to "excel" in anything yet but he is still somewhat of a newb I guess. I think we will definately be hearing his name a lot here in a year or so. A little more experience and he could give Chuck, Tito, and Rampage a run for their money. Well he could prolly give Tito and Rampage a run for their money right now but I'm not so sure about Chuck.

The only times I have seen it, it is always in Japanese so I can't read it. But I know Lyoto stayed at LHW, and Penn looked to me to be about 180 or so. He was pudgier than he usually is at 170 but I wouldn't think he weighed anymore than 180-185 for that fight.

the fight against bj was clearly a credit to him more than lyoto. cmon bj is a little guy and he was going after lyoto in the fight, that guy isn't scared of anyone. lyoto seems good but not good at finishing
