Rampage is kind of overrated. People still judge him by the fight with Chuck. I honestly don't think he is as good as he once was. This can be thanked to the fact that Wandy has his number(He KO'd him twice) and Shogun just picked him apart. That really takes a toll on you mentally. Not to mention a lot of his recent fights have been going to decisions(close ones at that). I am sure he will step up his game, but at this point he is a tad overrated and very overhyped.

Support Mixed Martial Arts, not Ultimate Fighting

he was hyped as knocking out liddel, and he did. they also hyped him as loving to slam people and he does love slamming people. They hyped him as being entertaining, he is entertaining. So i guess he deserves his hype.

well it is always this UFC vs boxing thing...you have to like one or the other here. I LOVE boxing, (and I LOVE UFC)..boxing has been around forever, the standing 8 count (which is only used in some places) and the count to 10 are there for a reason. People pay BIG bucks to see a fight, hotels, tickets, ppv etc etc and the count to 10 was there to give the ref time to digest what went on and see if the fighter really was/is hurt. I am not sure that this doesnt have a place in the UFC to stop premature stopages.

i'm a big boxing fan too but i agree that the standing 8 has led to a lot of brain damage. that and the tremendous number of mismatches. I really hope the UFC works harder to avoid mismatches. This upcoming card seems like its littered with them. Simple tune ups for guys like rich franklin can be dangerous-Just ask Nate Quarry. Keep the standing 8 and mismatches out of UFC! It would be nice to see these guys able to function normally when they retire, which is where i wish randy was staying.

I don't think it is so much the count that is leading to brain damage it is the repeated blows thorugh out a 10 or 12 round fight...have the count to 10 simply allows you to see if the figher is really injured or if it just looked bad.
