Its unreal how much hype jones gets even though bader accomplish wise has done more or as much.
I know jones is a special fighter but this is not the nba or nfl this is fighting anything can go don't matter if your anderson silva or gsp you can be beat any fight. Where as a special athlete dominates for years until they get old.
Bader actually did lose the fight to Lil Nog in many peoples eyes. Bad judging hit us again there! Because the second and third round, were almost all on the feet, where Bader clearly got outboxed by the far superior Boxer.

Also the Keith Jardine fight, Bader was losing this fight as well as far as I remember.. until that KO punch in the last seconds of the third round.

I think Bader is more hyped up then Jones right now.. considering that this guy already fought Lil Nog instead of Jones.

The Lil Nog fight was a close fight but nowhere near as bad a decision as loads are making out. The first round was the only clear round that you could decisively give to someone.

As for the Jardine fight it was 1 round all and pretty even in the 3rd when Bader KOd Jardine midway through the round.

Bader gets way too much hate imo. A lot of people like him and hype him cos he has the tools and potential to be one of the top guys at 205.
I'm a big fan of his but will admit he isn't as naturally gifted as Shogun, Jones, Machida or Rashad but surely everyone can see the potential Bader has if he works on his cardio and gets himself to a decent camp?

He cleraly has potential to become a great fighter, don't get me wrong. But people think he is a top LHW right now, wich he is clearly not! Maybe top 15 if at all.

Why do you think that Shogun or Lyoto are more gifted? Both don't really have the athletism of Ryan Bader, not even close.

The thing with Bader is, he really hasnt evolved or stepped up his game from the Ultimate fighter days. He's still that slowish kinda wrestler with the same stand up and sub-par cardio. Nothing I have seen from any of his performances have wow'd me or really stood out.

When you look at guys like Jones, Cain etc, they seem to improve and be even more dominant each and every fight. Bader just kinda stays the same.....

He isnt a bad fighter, but he really isnt any thing special either, and i dont think he ever will be.

As a fighter i mean, not an athlete. Bader is athletic but in terms of being a fighter he doesn't seem as natural with his instincts and techniques as the other top LHWs - maybe its because he comes from a wrestling background as opposed to a striking discipline which makes it appear that way.

He is definitely a top 10 UFC LHW imo, if you include other orgs like Strikeforce then maybe i can see him not being in the top 10.
I put him in a similar bracket to King Mo - dangerous for anyone at 205 but still very raw.

But thats because of hard, hard work! Lyoto and Shogun trained fighting from a very young age. And Bader did as well train Wrestling, but he didn't start learning fighting until the Ultimate Fighter. Thats why he is so far behind. Just hard work not really a gift.
Athletism like Anderson Silva, thats a gift from somewhere else.

Yea, maybe Bader is a top 10 LHW right now.. you could certainly rank him up there.

How dare you criticize jon jones, the man is a saint! That fight was a long time ago well not really but he has improved dramatically. It would be interesting to see how his cardio is though, however there is no way to tell since he has been whooping ass like anderson silva before the damian maia fight.

You really don't believe Lil' Nog beat Bader, do you? If so, you're either a moron, a Blackhouse nuthugger, blind, or you must really hate Bader and refuse to acknowledge the fact that he is the true, undisputed number 4 Light Heavyweight in the World.

All that said, I'm going with Jones via an early stoppage, I think it'll look similar to the Matyushenko fight.
