Shane Carwin may train with Fedor
Quote:
"I would be honored to train with Fedor. After seeing his CBS special I was impressed with the isolation and hardcore and yet raw training I saw. Fedor has been a good guy to me. After the Lesnar fight he sent me some very kind words that put things into perspective. He is a great guy and a great fighter. I am going to be traveling for training this time around. I want to take in as much MMA as I can. I hope to make it out to Duke Rufus's and maybe even a trip to Russia if all things go as planned."

I think both guys would learn a lot from this. If Fedor trained with Carwin it would definitely prep him for fighting in the UFC should he decide to make the trainsition. I'd love if Fedor ended up coming to the states and training at Jacksons and Grudge in Carwin's neck of the woods.

I can see Carwin throwing logs around in the backwoods of Russia, and loving every minute of it. I'd be more interested in watching that training than alot of these main event fights.

Well Carwin would be an excellent training partner for Fedor for his fight against Bigfoot Silva, because of his shear size and strength. And Fedor would be an excellent training partner for Carwin, because, well, he's Fedor.
This would be a sick duo

intense sparring sessions is how you gain cardio for MMA, train doing that you will be doing in a fight.
running is just to top it off when you feel you have energy left over.

...this is why Fedor has fans and always will. For all the arguing about P4P and legacy and other such irrelevant bollocks, the character of the man has never been short of impressive, for me anyway.
That he would even care about Carwin at all, let alone to offer him sincere support, says it all.
War Fedor!

i doubt fedor is into the MMA scene..... I just can't picture him sitting in his house watching UFC fights or dream, k1, etc...
this guy just fights whoever his promotion tells him to fight..... so i doubt fedor even knows carwin except for the fight he had against brock.
this is all being set up by his management IMO

I fail to see the correlation. Should be mutually beneficial for both fighters.
Fedor get's a tested big man with striking skill with long limbs in his camp.
Carwin get's to roll with around with Fedor in preparation for Nelson, if it goes to the ground and Nelson somehow gets the opportunity to go to work.
Both fighters should be huge favorites against their upcoming competition.
