I order every single ppv and can count on the same 4-5 friends to show up, with a few stragglers here and there. Saturday night however, there were about 20 people in my living room for this ppv(not because of cro cop and rampage, just wound up like this). about 10 were totally unfamilier with the sport, i think one guy heard of Lidell "the guy with the mohawk, right?"

Anyway, the first few fights were pretty boring IMO, as well as with my newby friends. luckilly evryone was drinkin/smoking etc.

THEN CRO COP ENTERS THE SCENE...

Everyone in the room is saying, "wow this guy looks like a sick #$&*@" and "It's the F'n Terminator", and other comments along those lines. Once the fight was underway, the smarter ones were able to realize that poor Eddy Sanchez did'nt have a prayor. These same people who were saying grappling looks like, "some homo shit", were instant fans of Cro cop. "This guy's the best, let me know when he's fighting again", was the new tune everyone was singing.

Don't get me wrong my friends are'nt a bunch of dummies, just not all that familier with MMA.

The point of this whole long-winded story, was that TYPICAL Americans(my friends), the same guys that would be booing if they were there live, were instant fans of Crocop. This was en especially rowdy bunch too(NYers). So if you were under the impression that American fans would not embrace Mirko(because he looks like a russian or for whatever other reason). That is not the case, at least in my livingroom anyway.

Sorry if this post is pointless, I am bored and felt like posting a thread. This was just an observation that I had the other night. Any feedback is appreciated.

I know, they have'nt seen anything yet. Someone commented on his "no frills music", "this guy is all business", I was cracking up, they had no idea.

I can't wait to see him kick Tim's head clear off his shoulders.

Its funny cause if that was ur fist time seeing crocop u would think he is a stone cold killer. More in lines of a terminator. But in reality CroCop might be the biggest joker in mma, he has pulled numerous pranks in Crotia and pride. And he is halarious.

The UFC just made him seem like the biggest fob ever with his post fight interveiw with rogen, like the man cant speak english. He freaking started in an action movie and was talking perfect english throughout the movie!

Either way Crocop might be the biggest G in the world.

I saw the PPV in the bar and the way the crowd was reacting in Vegas was the same as how they were reacting in the bar. Every little thing Cro Cop did drew "oohs" and "ahhs" from the flys. Something about Cro Cop makes everything he does look extra painful and damaging--maybe the fact that everything he does IS extra painful and damaging just comes through the screen. Plus he is a scary looking mofo.

The UFC has a major, major star in the making.

His next fight in England by the looks of it will be totally different. He was hurt so bad in training that his team advised him to pull out of the match. He said no way and throttled Eddie anyways.

This guy has the perfect "persona" to be that enigmatic crazy killer fighter the US will love. Rampage has a whole lot of PR in him as well. These two are polar opposites and will be blessings to the UFC. All Rampage has to understand is that the UFC crowds boo everyone, hell at times I think they just boo for the hell of it.
