I think CroCop will always have PrideFC in his heart, but will give UFC his best while in it.

hes also a member of croatia's parliament...im sure that pays a little more than the gap...by all means im not saying that money didnt play a huge factor because obviously it did, but i personally think hes after the title...i think his pride career was very discouraging for him...he never won a title and was pessimistic about winning the OPGP until fedor withdrew...so im guessing he wanted to leave pride with at least one accomplishment...then get UFCs and go back to war with fedor...

He deserves a title and he knows it. He wants the belt of course, why wouldn't he? allows him to say I'm the best HW fighter in the UFC.. regardless if he is now without it... Thats what comes with a championship. I think the UFC needs to give him a challenge in VERA at UFC 70. Its only fair to both fighters. Eddie was no threat to Mirko. He just ran thru him. He was upset with that, he wants to beat the best to say he is the best. Vera deserves a title shot in the UFC I think. Him Vs. Mirko is only right.

If thats not the next match for Mirko I feel bad for him.
The guy just wants a challenge.

My 12 fighter army is as follows:

Dan Henderson
Mac Danzig
Mirko "the man" Filipovic
Anderson Silva
Fedor and Aleks
Mark Hunt
BJ Penn
Q. Rampage Jackson
Karo Parisyan
John Fitch
Frank Shamrock

Why should CroCop be happy about coming to the UFC? He doesn't really have anyone nearly on his level, so it's not for the competition. He want's to bring Croats some recognition and make a point about the real warriors of MMA. He wants to show UFC fans what a real warrior looks like. The UFC hasn't seen a top 5 heavyweight since Randleman left for PRIDE, Rizzo dropped off of the face of the map and Couture decided to start cutting to 205.

CroCop is going to kick the UFC in the f*cking head and make a point for PRIDE, whether he's doing it openly or not. He's also going to show everyone the ignorance of the American UFC fans.

If there's anyone on here who can explain to me why UFC fans would boo CroCop, please tell me, because I want to hear that load of bullsh*t.

"Those same sources indicated that the Ultimate Fighting Championship made an offer to purchase Pride, but their offer was declined."

Ed Fishman is a revolutionary in the modern gaming industry. Can he do the same for modern day mixed martial arts? Struggling to remain competitive, Fishman is looking to lead the resurgence of the Pride Fighting Championships.

The president of Pride USA, Fishman is currently in negotiations to purchase Pride FC outright. Sources indicate that he is no longer interested in being a non-controlling investor in the promotion, but wants to own and direct the worldwide operations of the company.

Mixed martial arts is emerging as one of the fastest growing sports and entertainment properties in the world, but the longtime Japanese promotion has struggled recently with the loss of their television contract in Japan. It is believed that Fishman wants to take control so that he can lead the promotion out of its downturn. Apparently, there are already several international sponsorship deals, as well as major new television deals already in the works and close to being finalized.

If the deal does go through, in addition to continuing Prideís presence in Japan and expanding in the United States, the promotion would likely move to include events in England, South Korea, and Macau (a special administrative region of China).

At this point, there are ongoing negotiations, but nothing has been finalized. Sources close to the situation are confident that Fishman will get the deal done and move forward with his plans to re-establish Pride as the global leader in the industry.

Those same sources indicated that the Ultimate Fighting Championship made an offer to purchase Pride, but their offer was declined.

I've always loved UFC from the first one. I've never payed much attention to Pride b/c I was a "UFC moron". After reading into Cro Cop and watching him the last couple weeks, I've come to realize that there is so much more to fighting than bloody noses, drinkin beer, and Joe Rogan. Cro Cop represents MMA so much better than most UFC fighters with exception to GSP, Liddell, and maybe a few others. I've given Pride a chance, and it's really gaining my support.

Fav Fighters: Arlovski, Filipovic, Franklin, Hughes, Fedor

Future UFC Heavyweight Championship Bout: Cro Cop vs. Arlovski
