Crocop Before Leaving for his UFC Debut.

I understand UFC lovers want to claim Crocop as their fighter because he is fighting for them. One of the reason why he picked UFC because they are poppular in the U.S and he just wanted change. He also stated that he wanted to represent his Croatian Heritage because there are a lot of Croats in America and in Canada. Bodog offered Crocop more money that UFC but choose UFC because of it's popularity. He doesn't give a shit about the UFC, American fans and it's rules. He only cares about what they're paying him. After he's fights he immediately left back to Croatia.

From what all of us just saw, his heart is still with Pride. And he was asked why he came out with that theme...he said he would like to keep some things to himself. Clearly he doesn't wanna piss off Dana by saying..."I came out of that theme because I'm a Pride fighter; I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Pride." And from the article about him saying his not gonna need 2 years for 6 fights...what's two months from now? His fighting again. So 4 to go after that.

Last but not least; Yes Crocop will always be a Pride fighter not matter what those UFC lovers say. Lets say..Micheal Jordan played for the Wizzards...is he considered a Wizzard? Hell no...he'll always be a Chicago Bull. Wayne Gretzky...he played for the Blues, Rangers, Kings...whats he considered? His an Oiler for life. Enought said...I could list more if you idiotic UFC fans want more. CROCOP PRIDE OR DIE!!!

Reporter: How do you feel before your UFC debut?
Mirko: I have no special feelings about it.

This is on his website; Nokaut.com caught out with him before leaving for the States.

Has Cro Cop always been this low key or seemingly unhappy? Even when he was with Pride? Or do you think he doesn't like the UFC so far?

Fav Fighters: Arlovski, Filipovic, Franklin, Hughes, Fedor

Future UFC Heavyweight Championship Bout: Cro Cop vs. Arlovski

He doens't like UFC; he even commented on the Booing and rules. And he and Dana already don't see eye to eye. In Pride he did some interviews/commercials ect. His a funny guy, pulls a lot of pranks; he just doesn't show it all the time. In my opinion his heart is still for Pride; and he showed that to everyone; he requested to Dana about the Pride song. Dana said he gave the permission but Crocop stated that "UFC cannot control that part" - source on Nokaut.com

Then why did he sign with the UFC? It can't be for the money... Can it? It can be for the competition... It disheartening to watch Cro Cop in the octagon and know it won't last?

he wanted to fight the best, i think he was disheartened having to fight lower competition(ie Sanchez)

Of course its for the money, he goes from making a 100k a fight to over 300k a fight, thats a huge jump.

he has a six fight contract that should span 18-24 months. Once he is the champ, I think he will be happy and probably win over the american fans. However I would not be surprised if he went back to Pride once his contract is up(mainly to fight Fedor). Only time will tell...

as someone stated, there are clips of him floating around the internet of his pranks and shananagans (sp?)...it looks like his main goal of him switching is strictly business...doesnt care about the crowd, the show, or anything else but his long deserved title...

IMO, for him, its all about the money and most importantly; the title...hes not joining the UFC for more friends or more fans...im assuming thats also why he left K-1, japans biggest kickboxing/mma organization seeing how his last title was in 2000...and talk before prides 2006 OWGP about retiring if he didnt get the title...theres no doubt in my mind that he will end up at pride again before his retirement to once more tackle his arch nemesis...

The guy is 32 years old, he's got like 7 years of world class fighting in him. He's not an idiot, he wants some cash to take care of him the rest fo his life. What's he gonna do when he retires? Go back to croatia and be a cop again? Money played a huge part in his decision. Of course he's probably not that happy with the UFC, the fans at the events are a bunch of dumb assholes, you have Dana tightwad White for a boss, and the heavyweight division he's fighting in is full of fatasses and cans.

He's just here to kick some ass and get paid for it. I doubt he even gives a shit about the championship belt.
