Just a thought.

I think the whole reasoning behind sonnen's immediate rematch (which was championed by so called mma fans) tells everything you need to know.

That is like saying why bother watching a movie if you hated the actor/s. Silly question...

Soo much ignorance.

MMA might have overtaken it as the more popular combat sport but boxing isn't going away anytime soon. There will always be some new hyped up talent.
Exactly.

Everyone thought it die when Ali retired then Holmes came along, then Tyson/SRL and JCC came along, then De La Hoya/Roy Jones Jr came along then Mayweather and Pac came along (im just naming a few)...if you watched any boxing you would realize stars like Amir Khan are beginning to bud, Chad Dawson, Carl Froch, Andre Ward, Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Lopez and Sergio Martinez are all gonna be vying for the Pac/Mayweather spot once those guys are done.

You could really argue there is only a handful of names in MMA left who are able to draw big numbers, Lesnar and GSP are the only guys with enough drawing power to give 1 mil buyrates everytime they fight...you gonna say MMA is in trouble when those guys retire?! No cuz a new crop of stars will come through.....funny how that works.
