Seemed legitimately scared? Dan Hardy's not scared of anyone, especially not Carlos Condit with his mean-mug face. Condit landed a couple of shots on Dan early, and he just smiled at him and stuck his tongue out. There is no way Hardy was scared of Condit.

Agree with the rest of the post though. (Y).

Hardy needs a win but im not sure he can stand with Johnson, hes better off trying to take it to the mat. Not sure of Johnsons wrestling credentials though so it may not be an easy task.

Do they cut him if he loses? it would be 3 on the bounce (saying that they keep James McSweeney around)

I huge lol at the idea that Rumble has good striking. What fooking planet are you lot on??

Rumbles striking is rubbish. He has power... and there it ends. Hardy has much better hands. As for kicks... lets not even go there. Johnson kicks like George Roop except with more power.

Basically, Hardy rocks in all departments. Rumble is a big fat swollen numpty who got outstruck by Koscheck. the same Koscheck that wasnt willing to spend 3 seconds standing with Daley. The same Daley that Hardy has been training with for 10 years. ( maybe less, but 10 sounds more impressive )

All adds up to Rumble laying on the floor with chameleon eyes and a twitchy left foot.

Hows that for conclusive?

Yea Rumble's striking isn't that great, but he does have power and reach due to the fact he's actually a HW. I used to think he was better than he is, and although he's no joke, he barely out struck Koshcheck and will get outstuck by any decent WW striker.

That said, Dan Hardy's striking is even more overrated. Who's he outstruck... Marcus Davis and Mike Swick... just about? Don't get carried away, Hardy isn't the killer he's been huyped up to be, he doesn't have the power he claims to have, and he would get positively destroyed by Daley so please don't mention these two in the same sentence

I think Rumble takes this by being the bigger, stronger and more powerful guy.

The bolded part!

For once, Hardy should take this fight to the ground. As strange as it sounds, Hardy goes into this fight as the more skilled fighter on the ground.
Hardy will feel like he's a world class grappler compared to Rumble.

I know he's "a fighter and likes to fight, to put on a show for the fans...because that's his nature"....and all that crap, but he needs a win badly.

He's not in any danger of being cut imo, even if he loses.

He is one of the top brits in the game and Dana needs brits to conquer the british market.

But if he wants to stay in the mix, to be considered a contender, he needs to defeat Rumble. By any means, even if he puts on the most boring fight of his career.

Hardy is technically excellent stand up wise, he can stand with Johnson and bang, and if it stays on the pegs then its going to be explosive. It wont last long either. This is a really tough one to call, but ill go with Hadry as i feel he will want to prove himself after what happened with Condit. TKO 2nd round.

Nonsense!! ( well, sense actually but I'm on a roll )

Besides, Dan Hardy is faaar more attractive. He has all kinds of Charisma modifiers... like the Nottingham Amulet of Buck Toothed Beauty. And The Sceptre of Superbness.

whereas Johnson has the -7 Belt of Bloatedness along with the Lingering Aroma of Koscheck, which needs at least another 70 years to clear up.

...all adds up to a clear advantage to Hardy. Take that to the bank hater suckers of doooooom.

I really was a fan of Johnsons standup until the Koscheck fight. This fight is a toss up IMO...

I have to say whoever is having a good night takes it.. Johnsons speed power and kicks VS Hardys grittyness, raw power and technique should make for an entertaining throwdown..

I don't think either guy is contender material but why are people so high on Johnson's striking after Koscheck, who is still a rudimentary striker, did just fine standing with him? This fight is a close call but if I had to pick I'd choose Hardy.

No, Cole Miller has a mean-mug face. Carlos Condit is a legitimately nasty dude, and I think Hardy was scared. Taunting or sticking your tongue out at your opponent usually means you're either scared or already hurt. Don't you listen to Joe Rogan? lol

I'll be just as happy as you when Hardy puts AJ's fat ass away. Technical striking? Yeah, the guy that was getting tagged and outstruck by Josh Koscheck. Give me a break.
