Very calm and serene interview, sounds humbled. Really looking forward to seeing how he goes against JDS.

Thankfully the WWE and quitting fighting rumors were false. Glad to see the big guy motivated and anxious to win his belt back.
After the ass kicking that Brock received, I'm really impressed that he wants another shot at Cain so soon. There aren't too many fighters with that mentality tbh.
He might run from punches and shy from punishment but the dudes got balls and I hope he does well coaching and in the fight soon after

It depends on the person. People became fans of Kimbo Slice from TUF because of how humble and chill he came off, as oppose to some, I think I'm a badass thug, which people expected out of him.
People have a negative presumption of who they think Brock is, a WWE diva boy and the more he reveals himself to be the complete opposite as a person, separating his performer persona and the real him, people began to except him more and more as someone who at least is taking MMA serious, though still not so much as a serious MMA'ist.

Brock was hated after his UFC 100 antics, then was respected after his humble side came out after Carwin and the seemingly new demeanor post serious illness.

I loved what Brock did after the 100 fight. That was one of the most sincere and raw emotional moments I've ever seen in the cage. We have to remind ourselves of the context. Mir had been trashing Brocks skills continuously for 2 months before the fight and Brock said nothing at all in return. Ok, he broke a door... but stayed silent. After the fight, all that emotion came flooding out. It wasnt scripted. He wasnt playing the WWE baddie. Thats how he felt. It was fabulous. That was the day I became a Brock fan.
Not everybody hated him for what happened that day.

like this post, people i swear just hate lesnar just to hate him, i cant be because of his short wwe stint because Ken Shamrock used to be the most gimicky wwf fighter ever and he was in MMA before he was he was in the WWF, i cant be because of the UFC 100 outburst because mir was a dfick the whole time and lesnar was letting out some raw emotion as said above and it was fan effing tastic. and yes i love the lesnar

That makes two of us then. Mir had a lot to say to Brock, even said he wanted Brock to die to Octagon related injuries. Who says shit like this to a very committed family man and a father? That punk Frank didn't have anything to offer to Brock and got what he deserved.

"FRANK MIR HAD A HORSE SHOE UP HIS ASS!"
I liked brock and thought he was brilliant ever since saying that. The Heath Herring cowboy mockery was brilliant too;

I remember when watching 100, right after the fight, when Brock shoved his finger in Mirs face and said some shit to him. I was standing in the middle of my living room, arms stretched out, shouting "Look at you now pouta!!!" in my bestest Tony Montana voice. It was a moment I shall never forget.

I personally agree heavily with the both of you on UFC 100, that Mir had it coming and that whole confrontation had more to do with Mir running his mouth for the previous year leading up to the fight, then Brock being some inherent asshole acting out. I liked Brock then in his height, I like Brock now, in a post Cain era where Brock's suddenly a middle/lower tier joke or something. However, "MOST" people weren't MMA-behind-the-scenes savvy enough to see that UFC 100 was a reaction of pent up aggression from Brock, not an initiation of random aggression toward some unassuming fighter (Mir). I can't tell you how many times I've tried to defend that whole scenario.
That being said, a lot of people saw his whole UFC 100 stint as too WWE and therefore, lost respect for Brock as an MMA'ist. It's been his long process of showing he's a humble guy who just wants to be left alone from the drama and just train that has won him the most respect. To each their own, ultimately, but a relaxed, focused, non-dramatic Brock, will be better for him, as it was for Kimbo Slice.
