kid yamamoto vs demetrious johnson

this fight is really on the prelimaries? why?

kid is one of the biggest names in japan and is charismatic enough to build a following in the states and the dude speaks english.

why aren't they promoting this guy more?

i know he hasn't look like he use to but he would at least bring an exciting fight and beat some middle of division ranked fighters

Omigawa/Mendes is a much bigger fight possibly for a number one contendership at 145 and is on the prelims too. They will both be shown on spike however.

I am really excited for this fight, but I feel like Kid is in for a rough night.

Mighty Mouse via decision!

At this weight I believe yamamoto can be a contender again!

They probably won't match him up with Faber before both got there shot.

The handful of top guys at 135 would wreck him but I agree he can probably still be competitive with most of the other guys. Faber is the only person I see with any kind of realistic shot at beating Cruz though. If Cruz gets past Faber he will hold the belt for years baring some GSP/Serra type deal going down.

I'm hoping to see some old Yamamoto magic in this one.

Espesially early on in the fight.

I think, if the fight goes on to the late rounds, Mighty Mouse's chances are better.

Still pulling for Kid though.

.

BELIEVE!

I would assume because they're tired of these amazing japanese fighters coming from overseas, getting hyped to hell in the media and then looking like complete ass in the UFC. For reference see: Gomi, Akiyama, etc.

That being said, Johnson doesn't really offer much to Kid and he should mud stomp him. Not holding my breath on it though.
