chuck is a tough guy, but come one. he doesn't have a prayer. he matches well with fedor, but fedor is so good. if anyone can take chuck down and keep him there, its gotta be fedor. he's so well rounded and beats everyone they put in front of him. and cro cop is a match up nightmare for chuck. he's too good of a striker.

Chuck needs a challenge. Cro Cop is a man that Chuck can't play around with like he did with Tito.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Gotta go with the concenseus...

Chuck would not be able to stand and trade with Mirko.

And I gotta favor Fedor as well

What about the fact that Chuck is LHW and Cro Cop and Fedor are HW. I know Cro Cop can make the drop, but Fedor can't (can he?). Unless they're talking about an open weight fight.

obviously that comes into play...

the thing is, sometimes it doesnt make that much of a difference as the skillz a fighter possesses amounts to so much more than sheer mass or raw strength.

There are open weight tourneys where the LHW fared better than HW.

I like chuck. He is a good fighter but saying you match up good with Fedor. Idk, he was humble enough to say he was perhaps the best fighter alive, which he is. But Chuck... You have fought all your title fights with ground guys, a striker hasnt faced you in some time. Yes, you have a killer sprawl and yes we all know your 1 punch KO power anytime, anywhere. But FEDOR is on another level. Its why he is so respected. ITs why you yourself would say he's the best. I think the best match up for Fedor is Cro Cop. Cro Cop I think is what Chuck never wants to face, he could beat him dont get me wrong, but Mirko is a much better striker and if it was Pride rules, well Chuck would stand little to no chance really.

IMO... Chuck can give a fight to both men, but to be a honest threat... idk... he would need to beat some top strikers and some HW before I would say "OK, Chuck has a shot at beating Fedor or Mirko"

My 12 fighter army is as follows:

Dan Henderson
Mac Danzig
Mirko "the man" Filipovic
Anderson Silva
Fedor and Aleks
Mark Hunt
BJ Penn
Q. Rampage Jackson
Karo Parisyan
John Fitch
Frank Shamrock

Have you seen Fedor's opponents when Fedor starts hammering them standing up? They are not throwing too many punches, but are covering up or falling down.

Let's see Chuck beat Rampage before we start talking crazy here. I think he matched up with Fedor better really because Fedor is a very talented, but not as highly skilled as a Cro Cop, type of striker. I could see Chuck catching him, but idk if he could finish Fedor as plenty of guys have caught him only to get destroyed within a minute of said shot.
