I think it's a smart move on BJ's part. Even though Penn Ko'd Hughes decisively in their last fight Hughes is a strong Wrestler and they aint going to be training stand up. Hughes can put Penn in awkward positions against the cage and rain strikes down on him while BJ tries to stand up or escape. These sort of drills will be invaluable to BJ for when he comes to fight Fitch. It shouldn't take much adjustment for Hughes to emulate Fitch's style. I'm sure it won't be all sparring or striking they'll be drilling heehee.

BJ should go train with Jake Shields if he wants any hope of stopping Jon Fitch.

Hughes looked to be a pretty rubbish coach on TUF. I don't think this will worry Fitch. Probably more of a publicity stunt than anything else.

So what exactly is Hughes going to train him in?

How to get knocked out while praying?

Like someone else said, if he wants to learn wrestling he would be better off training with Shields or Kos. Or GSP obviously, but I assume he wouldn't be able to ask GSP for help even if GSP were willing. Hughes was a terrible coach on TUF.

I'm sure Fitch will cry himself to sleep now knowing Matt Hughes is in BJ's camp.

well there is a difference between being a coach and a training partner. I think matt will just be used in drills to help BJ learn how to combat a a good wrestler. Even though matt is old and is nothing like what he use to be he can still help out here in the wrestling aspect.

doubt it, shields most likely would be busy training for GSP and plus they could possibly fight each other real soon; only reason why matt hughes is helping him is because the rubber match is done
