Chuck has not fought a real striker in a while now, and facing someone like rampage will give him problems for sure. A striker like rampage will pick Chuck apart with his straight and accurate punches.

I think its funny how people are using Mezger and Overeem as examples.

First of all his fight with Overeem was over 3 years ago and his fight with Mezger was almost 6 years ago!! damn...

I've used this saying before. "apparently UFC fighters cant improve."

If you hadn't noticed hes been dominating every grappler, i know that doesnt say much but some of these grapplers are actually decent strikers. Randy Coutore, Renato Sobral, Tito Ortiz..Okay Tito Ortiz isn't that good of a striker but Chuck just took the hits from him willingly not showing any signs of being hurt, it was basically making Tito look like an idiot.

They may not be world classed strikers or great but in their credentials you will see that they can strike none the less.

Besides, usually when I see good strikers up against good grapplers they really dont "dominate" them standing, just have the edge during this process.

watching the overeem and mezger fights again, i'm not so sure you can't question his chin. he was dazed a couple times in each fight. he has a quick recovery time, but if he's fighting a really great striker with some heavy hands, it could end for chuck if one connects.

It seems that people are really starting to go off Chuck. I went off him for a while too, but, I have come to realise that he could be the Best in the world, with out argument like he says. Haha.. I think he can stand with another striker. Maybe not forever, but, it's only going to take so long for him to knock them out aswell. So, it's the same case with him fighting Wanderlei. They can both beat each other.

So basically, those who think he can stand up looks at him vs overeem or mezger and say his chin is his key advantage..but chuck isnt that young anymore.. getting beat up for a long time certainly puts your head in a bad condition.. I predict that the next time he fights a striker, hes going to get ko cold, but really cold, or a stupid punch will knockhim down.

Chuck is a very good striker, it's just unfortunate he hasn't fought any great strikers recently to prove you all wrong.

Chuck has fought some good strikers:
Vernon White
Alistair Overeem (though not entirely a striker, has good standup)
Murilo Bustamante
Guy Mezger

Chuck is really a pain for grapplers, but he can beat strikers because of his heavy hands. Technically, Chuck isn't the best striker in the world, but he has the power to KO anybody. (except, aparently, Rampage)

Guys like Rampage dont get knocked out by that 'one-shot' and then rush them procedure. When someone has a chin like Rampage or Lil Nog, it takes more than just that overhand right to land. As you said, he is not the best striker in the world. Therefore his nightmare opponents are guys with above-average standups, good chins and better ground games. There is a few of them out there.
