Im a fan of GSP, but Silva is going to beat him if they fight. Silva is on whole different 'level.' No disrespect to Okami, but I do not want to see that fight either. Silva needs to move back up to Lt. Heavyweight.

Don't think it makes a difference which division he moves too. Neither are very competitive. I can see why you think of LHW as Shogun/Jones and Rashad are possible opponents along with possibly Lyoto. But i think id rather see a dream match up in GSP-Silva followed possibly by BJ

This is all idealistic though. Who's to say whether Penn will beat Fitch or if Lyoto will beat Couture

once again ill say it SHOGUN VS SILVA the best ever fight and it needs to happen, so similar and both so good and botha re champs

GSP is my favorite fighter and I still think he would lose to Silva even though he does possess some of the skills I think could give Anderson the most trouble. I think he could take Silva down like Sonnen did and has much better Sub defense than Chael's non-existent one and would attack him better on top than Sonnen did but I think Silva would be able to keep it standing enough to pick GSP apart standing and win it there.

I agree 100%, bro...
GSP's only option is to take it to the ground. If they stand, it won't be that fun as many anticipate. Silva will just pick him a part. I feel sorry for the 'hardcore' GSP fans who are still buzzed off his performance against Chael Sonnen. That's the same feeling every "Silva-hater" had when he beat Henderson. And yet here we are... Silva still champ. GSP cannot finish fights and cannot stand and trade. Why do think he uses "takedowns" so much and loves to grind his opponent out?.. Becuase he has no CHIN (how ironic, he became a superior wrestler after getting "chin-checked" by Serra.)GSP cannot finish fights like Silva can. GSP is a 'grinder' and becuase of that, a fight against Silva would have to go the complete distatance for GSP to win. However, just as its been proven in the past... Silva has 25 minutes, and it only takes a few seconds for him to end it:thumb02:

Again, I think GSP is the f'kn man at welterweight, but to move up and challenge Anderson... I think not. GSP should test the waters out at Middleweight before going straight for the "gold." I would love to see GSP-Marquardt, GSP-Sonnen or GSP-Okami.

When Silva beats Okami (yes, this fight should happen), he has to move to LHW and give one last title shot. Get the title (I think he could do it), and once he does, defend it as long as he can. Once he loses, retire.

^That should be the end of the career of perhaps the greatets MMA fighter that ever lived.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Silva stated in the post-fight press conference that he has no plans or desire to move up in weight. He is content at fighting at MW.

I still think GSP will definitely beat Silva if/when they fight. The fight with Vitor did nothing to dispell those notions. Anderson Silva's one weakness is takedown defense, as he has been taken down many times in his career. Dan Henderson and Travis Lutter took him down, leading some to believe Chael Sonnen would easily take him down in their fight.

And what do you know? Sonnen took Silva down repeatedly and beat the crap out of him for 4.5 rounds. If Sonnen had good sub defense he would have won, but luckily for GSP he has very good sub defense and is a BJJ black belt who will not get submitted against Silva.

And what did the Vitor fight show? It showed that Anderson is an incredible striker with a weakspot in TDD, which we already knew. Vitor even took Anderson down and he's not even a wrestler!

GSP would easily take down Silva to a victory while avoiding the submissions, and i will certainly bet big money on GSP when this fight goes down...WAR ST.PIERRE!

LoL!! Dude, Your a 'prime' example of what I mentioned earlier (GSP "Nutt-hugger")

It looks like if JBJ wins Rashad might be tinkering with the idea of moving down or moving back up to HW. I for one would love to see him get knocked out, but do NOT think he deserves an immediate title shot at MW. It's just a poor excuse for himself to resurect his career that never was. SPOKEN would have a nice debate with me here. Rashad is a great analyst and commentator, but something about him when it comes to fighting really irks me.

GSP definitely has a chance. He has one of the greatest camps behind em and executes game plans to a T. He will go in with one specific plan and that's to take Anderson down and submit him with a leg lock. He does not have the power to KO or TKO em. If he can not finish WW he's going to have an even more difficult time finishing MWs unless he packs on serious muscle and fire power. Did you guys see the shots Brian Stann was landing on Chris Leben. Each weight class you can see a huge different in size even though it's a 15lb pound difference. Every fight GSP comes in he will be in harms way cuz they all pack serious power unless you're named Chael Sonnen.

Nonetheless the fight should happen, I want to see it before Anderson Silva moves up to LHW for the title.

Will it be Shogun or JBJ...
