I instantly became a fan after last night. So bizzare and entertaining. Those shoulder stomps he was landing on Lytle were NASTY.

Also:

"Ebersole has competed in 63 professional fights with a mix of promotions, including Strikeforce and the IFL. He holds a record of 47141-1, while being one of only a small percentage of fighters to never suffer a loss via KO or TKO in his MMA career."
im not saying hes going to get cut because of the crap he did, i just think hes going to get cut because hes not really good...

im surprised to see such positive reaction for this guy

He was good enough to beat Lytle, I think that makes him UFC calibre.

At first I thought he was a tool, with the chest hair and just general weirdness in the octagon, but he put on a stellar performance. I hope he does well.

The thread where it happened...

And...don't wanna take away anything from Ebersole, but Lytle didn't look his usual tonight. Too slow, to flat footed, sloppy striking, went for the BIG punches too often.
Still, Ebersole has a BIG credit for taking Lytle out of his comfort zone! Props to him.

PS: if you're curious to know if i put a bet on Ebersole, the answer is no. I couldn't.
Next time you have that feeling again let me know. We can make some loot...haha! The only footage I saw of Ebersole was the cartwheel kick which he actually attempted twice. He is a funky fighter. It should be him vs Mckenzie...haha...but nah he'll prolly fight Paulo Thiago next.

I really enjoined see him fight, but was mostly impressed by his interview with Ariel after wards.
He seems a really cool guy and has me as a fan from now on.

The best part was when he took Lytle's hand and put himself in a guillotine right before he took him down, apparently just to show the audience once more that Chris couldn't finish him with one.

That and when he recognized when the round had like 8 seconds left, so he just stood up, left Lytle laying on his back against the cage, did a funny gesture at the ref and walked back to his corner.

did this guy train with Lloyd in dumb & dumber?

I'm interested in seeing him again, thought he was getting outstruck, but taking out lytle in your debut is impressive.

Ebersole vs Volkmann! I want to see it.

EDIT: just remembered that Volkmann dropped to LW... it would have been wild though!
