Whether people want to see him or not, he would have deserved a shot regardless. I usually don't mind Fitch but I really enjoyed last nights fight. I find it fun to watch a battle go back and forth like that.

But in the end the UFC is a business, and if no one wants to watch Jon Fitch fight, then he won't fight.
Most casual UFC fans don't know a thing about MMA in depth, so all they see is a boring wrestler who can't finish a fight, therefore will not buy the PPV.

Hey I respect Fitch for what he does but every fiber of my being was hoping BJ won.

Bj is just a way more exciting fighter than Fitch, and as much I respect Fitch for what he does I can't say I find it exciting.

Don't really get the No, his LnP is unimpressive option. His top control or LnP so to speak is very impressive, it just isn't very exciting to watch. Fitch wouldn't be a good draw though, should he get the title.

gotta admit the 3rd round "LnP" was pretty damn devastating. BJ looked in worse shape then he did vs GSP or Frankie.

...A grappling B.J. has proven to be no joke. He stole Hughes' belt with his grappling/BJJ. Even though he drew even with Fitch, that's a feat holding your own against the #2 WW in the world coming up from LW. An eye opener. B.J. can Box but if he cuts into the roots of his greatest strength- BJJ, very possible Penn could end up in the title shot picture. With GSP vs. Shields, Condit in the mix, the WW Division is about to really heat up. A Penn/Fitch 2 will most likely happen. I'm certainly game for a rematch...

Fitch puts up a better fight against GSP than Hardy thats for sure. I think its safe to say that Fitch puts up the best fight against GSP than anyone else besides Shields atm(since we haven't seen him fight gsp).

Does Fitch stand a remote chance of beating GSP? nope. Will Fitch look as bad as Kos or Hardy? nope.

Fitch is good at controlling and thus he's a boring and very predictable fighter. If he beat BJ he would have deserved a title shot after Okami but he didn't.

Even if he did get another title shot, he better hope it's not against GSP because that controlling style sure as hell isn't working against the best wrestler in the division.

Koscheck would beat Fitch. GSP couldn't hold Kos down so I very much doubt Fitch could, and Fitch's takedowns are no way as explosive as GSP's. Koscheck could quite easily take Fitch down and give him his own dose of control for 15 minutes.

Not only does Fitch have a boring style but he's not clinical enough to ever hold a top position in the division. BJ almost beat him using takedowns, it's about time the rest of the division paid attention.

I don't see how anyone could say that 3rd round, or anytime he had top control last night was boring. It's not like pillow hands Jake Shields or Sonnen. BJ's face showed what Fitch did, and Fitch was actively trying to finish him with his GnP.
