Retirement? He's been on the best winning streak of his career and he's really starting to look good, unlike before he just looked exciting.

He gets one unexpected loss and he's starting to crumble? That's so weird, never saw him as being mentally weak.

I see what you're saying, but it's the other way around.

I was enjoying his fights so much that I became a huge fan.

It doesn't hurt that he's a really great guy aswell.

Isn't he a full-time fire-fighter as well?

If so, that has to take it's toll on the body and mind eventually. I think he also has like 4-5 kids so even more mental stress.

I sure hope he doesn't retire he's fun to watch and one of the nicest dudes in MMA.

I don't think it's a matter of him being mentally weak, but rather looking at things realistically. I think he mentioned before that he was going to make one more push to try to get a title shot, he's 36 and has been fighting for twelve years on top of working a job and supporting a family.

He's seen a lot of mileage in his career, even for a huge Lytle fan like myself, it's not surprising that he's aware that the ending is near. It kills me that he might never get his title shot despite being so competitive for so many years and putting on so many great fights.

I agree. Give him a couple of weeks to mourn his loss. then we'll see how he feels about it. For now, hes allowed to wallow in pity for a while.

It was a great fight though.
