very good post . maybe have him fight like forrest or jardine first just to get the jitters out.

What is this all about? Do you know who Cro Cop is? He is without a doubt the best fighter in the UFC right now and deserved every penny of the money he got.

But I agree this is too early for Rampage. Not that I dont think he will have a chance but I would rather see him built up and see the two of them square off at their best. If Chuck wants to prove he is the best, he needs to beat Rampage at his best...and then beat Wandy (if he can)...and then retire as the best LHW ever.

Hmmm...are they giving him Chuck this soon in hopes that he loses which might set up a rubber match in the future??? Otherwise I don't know why Rampage would be willing to fight him so soon. He knew his standup needed some work in his last fight, and Chuck is one of the last people you wanna fight with a rusty standup game.

I agree with you here they know Rampage isnt ready so they want to feed thim to liddel now get a huge PPV. Then this will make their rubber match I mega-PPV. Personally I don't Rampage is ready for Chuck he even said he needs to build his confidence in his post fight interview, and should take 2 matches to build it back up

What are you guys so afraid of? You guys afraid that Chuck is gonna KO Rampage? He was a international fighter before he came to the UFC. Hand him to Chuck so we can see him get KTFO.
But yea seriously man he didn't look to good against the Beastman.

I think the real reason this fight is happening is because there isn't a single legitimate contender for Chuck to face in the interim. The only other remote possibilities other than Rampage are Rashad or Jardine, but neither of them are ready to test Chuck yet.

That being said, maybe they should throw Rashad in there with Chuck. The casual fan knows him, and I don't think his stock could be any higher coming off that last massive knockout. Sure he won't win, but the fight will draw big numbers, and Rashad really won't lose any credibility getting beat by the champ. Then you can send him back where he belongs fighting guys like Tito, Babalu, Forrest etc., and you've bought some time for Rampage to establish himself as a real threat to Lidell.
