WARNING, SILVA NUTHUGGIN' COMING RIGHT UP!

Just think about it for a second, Silva has been the UFC's middleweight champion since UFC 64. With UFC 128 on the horizon that means he's been sitting on his throne for half of ALL UFC events that there has ever been!

I just wanted to invite all of you people to share your thoughts on his greatest moment in the Octagon and bask in the glory that is Anderson Silva :p

Here's a highlight that gives me goosebumps every time I watch it :)

BTW if any admin feels like this thread isn't justified or is in violation of any forum rules, please delete it :)

I've been hot and cold on Anderson throughout his UFC career but there's no doubt, he's the most devastating fighter to ever walk the planet. He's incredible to watch and will always have a top HL reel. That video was great and it didn't even have the Belfort KO.

I think at this point the only thing that improves his legacy would be superfights. GSP is a good start, but a fight with a LHW such as Rampage or Shogun would be icing on the cake.

Ive noticed that if a thread similar to this but with GSP , Fedor or another great fighter is involved it gets flamed , i think i now know who the people doing it are , because this thread is full of nut hugging. :confused02::confused:

Anderson loves him some RJJ, he copies his style so much. Prob why he was buthurt that Uncle Dana wouldnt let him box RJJ. Now is the time to box RJJ too, he is a shell of his former self. Like Anderson may be too if he hangs around too long.

Will Anderson have the sense to retire at the top??

I think theres no question now that Anderson is the GOAT, he has every record in the book and has destroyed everyone(excluding Sonnen) he has faced in the UFC, no one has come close to his accomplishments. Its very strange though that he has never been a big fan favourite, 90% of his fights are like watching a real life matrix movie and we all love watching them, but he is still no ones favourite fighter(am exaggerating a little but you get my point).

AS is the best fighter ever period...GSP might pass him, but no fighter will ever simply destroy his opponents as easily as AS did...and no fighter will be THAT much ahead in the striking game like AS

the dude is a living legend, in a time where wrestling is dominating the sport hes there dominating with elite striking and bjj, provin you dont have to have wrestling to be the best of the best

his legacy is one of HLs...you gotta respect his amazing accomplishments

ppl can try to downplay them all you want, at the end of the day you can downplay any great legends accomplishments, fact of the matter is NO fighter can repeat what this man his done!

AS GOAT!

What do you do if you meet AS in person?...Prostrate yourself? Bow?

GOAT without a doubt, win or lose in his next few fights. The man has done things in his career that no 'man' should be able to. Worthy of all the praise he receives, awesome HL btw.

In my perfect world he would fight Okami soon, GSP superfight, Whoever is the LHW champion, Whoever is the HW champion, RJJ in a boxing match, retire.

Yeah now that you mention it.

The UFC wants to hold an event in Tokio don't they?
What better main event for the japanese fans than Silva vs. Okami.

I don't give Okami much chance here but "it's MMA anything CAN happen" right? :)

That would be a huge thing for Japan.
