Shoulda, coulda, woulda... meh

Perhaps he just fought really really tough, good opponents and gave his all, but it wasen't enough to win convincingly? Is easy to say he "should have gone for the finish" lol. Have you even been in a fight?

In my mind Kampmann has three opponents who fall into the same category; Condit, Shields and Diego. Two opposing equally strong forces colliding. He got the win vs Condit but lost to Shields and Diego. In my mind all fights were kinda similar, they could have gone to either guy. Basically I just think of them as draws.

Nitpicking strategy is easy, but you don't have all the info. There might be other factors that drowe Kampmann to make certain decisions. Only if you occupie his body, have his memories etc can you know the full story. He probably tried to avoid giving Shields dominant positions, he probably tried to avoid getting stuck against the cage against Diego (still he go the better of the standup exchanges according to CompuStrike, by alot).

The thing is there are two people involved in a fight and the other guy is trying to make stuff happen too. It's not like Diego would just stand still, put his chin out there and let himself be KO'e just because you (Ari) think Kampmann "should have gone for the finish".

Thats my 2 cents.

I thought Kampman won. I also thought he let a few perfect takedown opportunities go by. I also thought Diego showed great heart. Real Tiger Blood.

I can't help myself. For now, Charlie is more entertaining than James Toney and chael Sonnen Hyping a tag team match against Brock Lesnar and Michael Bisping

WINNING

EDIT: As I wrote those words, THE WARLOCK ASSASSIN was delivering exactly what the world needs. TIGER BLOOD RADIO

Exactly. Its a real easy thing to say 'he should have finished him when he had the chance', but what chance? A bloody Diego has more fight in him than a fresh Diego.

NO ONE HAS KO'D DIEGO SANCHEZ. He wasn't even rocked this fight. It's when Kampmann engaged him too intently that Diego was able to mount his best offence.

Stay away and counter all night should have been his plan. If you think that's cowardly or ineffectual, if he kept to this plan Sanchez's face would have looked WORSE.
