Why would you leave the UFC?

I am an MMA fan, I follow UFC, Pride, IFL, Strikeforce, KOTC, ROTR and every local event I can get myself to.

UFC is by far my favorite production and has some of my favorite fighters. That being said I don't know why anyone would LEAVE the UFC for somewhere else?
Not only can you make good money when you get up there, but you can be famous in the country you're from but get to live and train in your own country also.(assuming you're from here)

I just wondered what anyone thought about people like Brandon Vera or Nick Diaz leaving to UFC to sign with other companies.

Diaz is fighting arguably the best lightweight fighter in the world in Gomi. If he left to find easier competition he screwed up big time. Apparently for real though he didnt like the UFC rules and I expect probably wasnt getting payed what he felt was his due.

Yeah but Vera could have gone down to LHW and done fine if he didn't want to deal with Cro Cop.
I also thought Diaz was doing well.

Now he is fighting Gomi in Pride.

People leave big companies with a high profile to go and work in smaller companies with a lower profile all the time. Sometimes because the conditions will be better, sometimes because they just don't like specific stuff about the way that things are run.

Why would people leave the UFC? Why would they leave Real Madrid or Manchester United? Why would they leave Miami Heat ? Stuff like this happens so often, the question maybe should be "Why don't people leave big organizations like the UFC". The answer is that they enjoy it, they get to do their thing and they feel properly valued. And I suspect that when any of those three things fail, people have no problem leaving, wherever it is.
