Rashad and Rampage appear to be next in line, although a un-motivated Rampage very easily could lose to Hamill. Taking him out of the mix allowing Forrest a chance to fight Hamill or the winner of Nogueria/Davis and fight the winner of Shogun/Rashad if Rashad doesn't take another fight and keeps his title shot.

hmm thats an interesting theory you got. But motivated or not hamill is far away from the likes of rampage. But i would realy like to see shogun defeating jbj and then fighting rampage.

Hamill could very easily take the fight from Rampage if Rampage doesn't take the fight seriously and I don't expect him to. Hamill's chin and wrestling are both good enough to survive a half-assed effort from Rampage on the feet long enough to turn it into a wrestling match, which favors Hamill whose a much better wrestler than Rampage these days.
We could very well end up seeing Shogun/Rashad vs. Forrest/Hamill to determine the first title fight in 2012.

Shogun has his work cut out for him with JBJ, which I hope he wins. If he does there's an array of scenarios waiting for him and I dont think Forrest is in the list of possible match ups. After JBJ i think Shoguns fights Rashad or Rampage with most people wishing for the Rampage fight. There's also the possibility of Shogun and AS since AS is getting older and the UFC needs a super fight sooner than later. After that it would be one of the new up and comers like Phil Davis, etc.

but I really think that fight makes the most sense right now, if Lyoto get'a past Couture soon.
Winner could be up for a title shot then^^ maybe hold the bout in Rio or even before Rio?!

Oooh I like that idea. Never really thought much about Machida taking on Griffin, I think it'll be very similar to how Silva/Forrest ended though.

Probably not as devastating as the Silva Vs Griffin but definitely something similar would happen. I just don't think that Griffin deserves a title shot any time soon. He hasn't beaten anyone who really shows he deserves a shot at the title. He needs to beat another top contender like Machida, Rampage, Rashad to get a title shot. Maybe if Shogun loses then we could see a Shogun/Griffin 2.
