He won't beat Pearson if he meets him again. Pearson's stand up is better, and he's alot faster and has solid TDD. People sleep on Pearson after the Miller fight. Every fighter gets caught once or twice, dont see it happening to Ross for a while.
I think Siver can go quite far, but not near a title shot. He'll lose to a powerful wrestler, and get picked apart by the likes of Pearson, and I'd take Melvin to KO him again if they have a rematch.

With his stand-up and TDD he can go pretty far i guess. The LW division is insanely stacked though, he'd be lucky to get a title shot i think.

He is a slightly better than gatekeeper fighter. Fast dynamic strikers and great wrestlers are really bad matchups for him.

it all comes down to how he will develop his skills further I think.
In my book he should really join a US training camp and work with good wrestlers and so on.
He should consider leaving Germany because there is really no camp even close to the staked US camps.
He can really grow there.
This is what Denis himself said after the Andre Winner bout: (from http://www.mmabay.co.uk)
"Everybody thinks all I do is my spinning back kick, but that’s not true. Of course, I’m able to do other things. That’s what I proved today. I changed my training program to focus more on jiu-jitsu and wrestling. It’s proving to be (the right move). I’m very pleased with the progress that I’ve been making.”
“I would like to fight against the fighters to which I lost because now I think I would win those fights if I were (to fight them again). A victory here in Germany was very important to me. Now maybe MMA becomes more famous in Germany.
My home gym is located in Mannheim, called KIBOJU. We train there stand up, spar alot and work on the techniques. BJJ, I train at the ALLIANCE gym in Frankfurt.”
So he already went in this direction, but he did not join an american camp. He really should to get even better!

Siver is improving. That was a very impressive win against Soti. Who knows maybe he can avenge his previous losses. For now it's Maynard, Guida, Pettis, all in line. Soti would have certainly moved up, but Siver took his place. Kenflo would have been in there as well had he not moved down.

I don't think him being in an American camp has anything to do with it. Germany is a mecca for wrestling and they have some serious guys over there. I think him changing his camp the way he did was exactly what he needed to do and it's already starting to pay dividends.

To many great wrestlers and more well rounded fighters, Silver is a good fighter but he will never be more than a fringe top 10 LW.

That might be tue but to really be at thje top in MMA in one weight devision, you have to be part of a great camp to train with the best. Only that way you can really improve I think.
We do have some great wrestlers here that is true but you cannot compare that to the US.
And it's not only wrestlers. Almost everyone at the top is a part of a great camp like Jacksons, AKA or ATT.
You can train on a daily basis with the best in each relevant part of MMA and you cannot do that here.
But of course I hope you are right and I am wrong. I want him to be succesful and it doesn't look like he will switch camps.
So I truly hope I'm wrong.

One fight where he showed some TDD is nice but I'm not sold on him being that improved. Solid but average UFC level.

BJ Penn and Fedor disagree, Not saying it wouldn't help but you don't have to be.
