It's all a part of Forrest's evil plan. He said crap about Tito and knew that Tito is going to answer back. Then they go on to fight each other where Forrest is totally going to embarrass Tito and therefore costing his job and getting him out of the UFC. Nice job Forrest.

I DO NOT care to see this fight. I realize they have had 2 fights that were very close. The big problem is that Forrest deserves a bigger fight and Tito doesn't deserve a fight this big.

Forrest is on a two fight win streak, the last fight being a win over Rich Franklin and the other being over Tito. Hell, when is the last time Tito even won a fight? 2006! He is on a 3 loss streak, with the fight before that being a draw, and the fight before that being another loss.

Urghhhhhhhh nonononononono

Chuck Tito on the prelims and cut him when he loses. It's stupid, he just lost to Hamill. Forrest beat Franklin after beating Tito. It makes NO sense and it is not exciting at all.

Nooooononononononooo.

I really couldn't care less if I see Tito fight again ever or against anybody. Tito is 0-4-1 in his last 5 fights and his last victory was against Ken freaking Shamrock. And yes I was laughing out loud while typing about his last win.

Dude is irrelevant to MMA now.

i agree I have pretty much no interest in seeing Tito fight again now.

Vera would make sense as they are in a similar position I guess, other than that I dunno...Franklin maybe (coming off a loss) but I think Frankln probably deserves better than a fight with the irrelevant Tito at this stage

Tito is still around because he's very difficult to stop. Only Chuck did it, other losses via stoppages were very long time ago when he was just a kid. At the same time, he hasn't stop anyone himself except Ken, so it's kind of weird. I want fights ending in dramatic fashion and so far Tito has displayed only his ability to survive... but I guess it's the best he's capable of. It would be fun to see him fighting in Strikeforce instead of UFC where he can't do much anymore.

I don't think his still being around has anything to do with his durability in fights, or indeed any aspect of his fight game.

My personal opinion is that he got a fairly lengthy contract purely because he is a big name and was the ultimate love to hate character for many years.

Dana/The UFC no doubt so huge potential to make money off his character by putting him on the TUF with Chuck and figured they could create interest and money from making those two fight a couple more times.

Tito's handling of the cameras and fans is what makes him a big name still, his success in the sport has decline years ago. The last relevant wins I can remember him recording was over Forest and Vitor, both split decisions and both over 5 years ago.

To me, with that sort of fighting record over the last 5 years if he was not a big name because of his persona and mic skills he wouldn't be anywhere near the UFC right now. He s just a fans favourite (hate figure) who has a drawing power because people know him and what to see him (get knocked out)

The fact is that type of pulling power can only last so long wthout actually doing something in the cage, Tito lost the last of his power to attract the attention of fans when he pulled out of the Chuck fight (or if there was some left Forest beat it all to dust) so now it is just a matter of finishing his contract on the undercard and he will be gone have no doubt.

No...

Forrest is on a 2 fight win streak that includes kicking Tito around the cage. Tito is 0-4-1 in his last 5 fights. What interest in the world could Forrest have in fighting Tito again besides being almost guaranteed another win.

If Tito was anyone else, he would have been cut by the UFC. He is holding on because of his name, not his fighting skill.

The bottom line is, Tito doesn't really deserve anyone relevant at the LHW division. He has a big name (and head) but his record in the last 5 years is trash.

If he's going to continue to fight in the UFC he needs to work his way back to fighting big names. He needs to fight some lower level guys or other people on shit streaks.

I'm all for a Stephen Bonnar vs. Tito Ortiz match! Forrest on the other hand should get the loser of the Shogun vs. Jones fight!

I would be interested in seeing this fight, because it would settle the score and since I am confident that Griffin would win, it'd solidify him again. Right now he's still on shaky ground as far as I'm concerned because the Franklin fight was honestly pretty dull. If he could put Tito away I would be more than happy seeing him fight 1 time after that for a possible title shot...just my $.02

FYI I am a huge Griffin fan, I think he's a fun fighter to watch and a funny guy, I also would like to see him beat the crap out of Ortiz and shut his mouth.
