how would Hendo do if he was in the UFC right now?

just watched Hendo claim the strike force light heavy weight title...

yes i know, the depth and talent of the strike force LHW division is no where near the UFC level, but it made me wonder how would Hendo do if he was fighting in the UFC right now?? as LHW or middleweight... his last fight in dana's org was July 09 against Bisping and he only left because his contract expired...

his wrestling and grappling is pretty good, and although he is getting old, i beleive he is still very dangerous standing up.

how would do you think he would do in Middleweight? id love to see him fight Chael.. although i fear he will get man handled like he did against shields...
or even Vitor a rematch with vitor would be exciting..

who do you guys think he could beat in the UFC LHW division right now.?

always liked hendo, he has been a warrior and a great leader for the sport of MMA. he has been a UFC tornament champ, Pride Middleweight Champ and now the SF LHW champ.

well done Hendo.

I don't think he'd ever hold a title. He got out grappled by Rampage at his favoured weight, I could never see him besting A.Silva and LHW is way too stacked for him to get close to a title shot. I'd see him having a similar record as Wandy to be honest. Winning about a third of his fights (that'd be if the UFC keeps feeding him top competition)

Top 5 LHW.

Rampage had his best fight in the UFC to beat Hendo , and he hasnt looked like that since.

Middle of the LHW division. Interesting match for anyone. I think he gives anyone a tough fight.

MW? I'm not sure, I like him at 205.

I still think he can be top 5 in MW/LHW division. Will he ever hold a title in the UFC? probably not.

He only lost to Rampage and Anderson Silva while in the UFC, losing to those guys is nothing to be ashamed of.

Depends on what weight class he would fight in.

He'd easily be #1 contender, or even champion, at MW. At LHW, he'd probably just be in the top 5.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

Hendo has exceeded his skill level greatly and is perhaps MMA's greatest over achiever. He has heavy hands but is technically horrible often not even looking where he is throwing but instead staring at his feet. He is a great wrestler but is mediocre on top with no submission game or real GnP to speak of. He is a solid fighter but he has fought beyond his abilities but Hendo would be stuck in a Rich Franklinesque purgatory after losing a second bout to Anderson Silva.

Prolly would have been finished by Silva again, but you never know. Silva-Hendo would have saved us from the debacle that was Silva-Maia.

I suspect he would be a tough fight for any top 10 MW or LHW.

A little worse then he did when he was previously here. He looks a fair bit older now and hasn't evolved at all over the past few years...
