UFC on Facebook again at 128, whew...

When I heard about the two fights they were airing on Spike, was bummed about possibly missing the exact two prelim fights that are being shown on facebook:

Quote:
MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)

* Champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs. Jon Jones (for light-heavyweight title)
* Urijah Faber vs. Eddie Wineland
* Jim Miller vs. Kamal Shalorus
* Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Nate Marquardt
* Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Brendan Schaub

PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)

* Luiz Cane vs. Eliot Marshall
* Edson Barboza vs. Anthony Njokuani

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook)

* Ricardo Almeida vs. Mike Pyle
* Kurt Pellegrino vs. Gleison Tibau

PRELIMINARY CARD (un-aired)

* Joseph Benavidez vs. Ian Loveland
* Raphael Assuncao vs. Erik Koch
* Nick Catone vs. Dan Miller

Do you "Like" the UFC?

If so, you'll be able to watch two additional bouts from this month's blockbuster "UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones" event.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has confirmed that UFC officials are planning on streaming a pair of UFC 128 preliminary bouts – Ricardo Almeida vs. Mike Pyle and Kurt Pellegrino vs. Gleison Tibau – on Facebook.com.

Pellegrino first revealed the plans on Monday's edition of MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio).

The UFC's Facebook page has been used to stream UFC Fight Night 23, UFC 126, UFC 127 and UFC on Versus 3 preliminary-card fights. As MMAjunkie.com previously reported, UFC president Dana White plans to make the social-networking giant a fixture with its future broadcast efforts.

A seriously stacked card, im even bummed in missing the rest of the prelims. I know that benavidez lost twice to the champ making him not a viable contender but he's top five.

the SB nation USA today consensus ranking has it

1 Dominick Cruz
2 Joseph Benavidez
3 Brian Bowles
4 Urijah Faber
5 Miguel Torres

I like the fight they picked.
Almeida vs Pyle especially.
And Pellegrino vs Tibau sounds exciting also.

This will definitely be a card where I have to download the unaired prelims, watch the facebook stream, then turn on Spike TV and then watch the PPV. I haven't seen a card this stacked since WEC 48.

Yeah, with those two losses, I have him at 4 behind Cruz, Bowles, and Faber. His resume is strong but since he is not a vaible contender while Cruz is still champ, it hurts his ranking a little in my eyes. Faber hasn't done much in the division, but he is the only one to beat Cruz so he has to be up there. Bowles only loss is to Cruz and while he was being beat when it happen, the fight was stopped by injury.

Yeah I have to agree this fight card is stacked. It is not the best main card that I've ever seen but the prelim fights are probally some of the best I've ever seen. I think that the facebook fights should be on Spike and the Spike card should be on facebook. I'm kinda of split right now. I think I would rather see Raphael Assuncao vs. Erik Koch instead of Luiz Cane vs. Eliot Marshall tho.

Hey what do you guys think about the quality of the facebook fights. I don't know if I feel its worth watching them. I try once and couldn't even get it to come up. The next time I just stopped watching because of poor quality, well that and I wanted to make sure I was able to get a good seats at the local sportsbar. I just figured that since facebook worked with the UFC directly to show them that the quality would be better.

They're burying that footage so none of us ever see that super sick sub that Paul slapped on Branch... UFC don't want Paul Harris gaining any momentum ;p

Srsly though, if anyone finds that sh*t, PM me. Will rep.
