The only thing he did wrong was celebrate too early. That could have cost him had his opponent not been a sack of potatoes.

If anything, I applaud Jones for stopping after that kick, since the ref didn't even do it yet. Jones could have kept raining blows until the ref pushed him off. What a beast.

Woot! Jones FTW! Love that suplex. Those announcers were dopes. Nothing wrong from what I saw. Plus he showed good restrain at the end imo.
I understand they didn't like his "showboating", but I don't mind. It was a crown pleaser move, it's his first fight, and he's all jacked up. It's fine with me.

Thumbs down

I don't see what the big deal is... The fight wasn't stopped yet... He wasn't ko'd... And he didn't kick him in the head.

I guess whoever hates someone will find further reasons to hate.

HAHAHAHA as soon as I heard that from the announcers along with his comparison of Jon Jones (an unproven fighter at the time) to Anderson Silva, all respect was lost.

The comments from the other meat-head about the kick were just icing on the cake.

I do think Jones shouldn't have celebrated the suplex with the arm raised, but it was a bad ass suplex so I can't blame him.
