Like everyone in the thread is saying to be "proven" you need to be tested in tough situations , however i feel that Jones will not be tested Vs Rua. The style is horrible a wrestler vs Striker and the striker coming off knee surgery and last time he did gassed in round 2.

The fight screams Domination by Jon Jones and i feel he will take Rua down at will , i will be impressed if Rua makes all 5 rounds.

I hope im wrong and Rua hits Jones hard id like to see what his reaction to it is like, but inevitable i think it will be similar to the Vera fight , one guy coming to "Throw hands" and the other changing levels getting him down and landing bombs throughout each round.

Wrestling is by far the best or should i say easiest way to win a fight , you avoid damage when a takedown is secured , you tire your opponent and you can damage him. Rua doesnt have good enough BJJ IMO to do anything significant off his back and the scoring is very heavy towards TD's i think if Rua lasts till round 4 he may already need a KO or Submission to have any
chance to win.

I know i will get flamed for my comments but i honestly dont care how good Shogun is , the old cliché styles makes fights is always true and a generally the wrestler beats the Striker and the Striker in this instance is coming from a long lay off and has no advantage in size or reach over the other guy.

Bisping Fan extraordinaire

Velasquez will be back
