Before any "superfights" that include LHW belt happens, the guy who holds the belt has to defend the damn thing atleast 4 times in a row. That hasn't happened since Liddell did it, and before that when Tito did it. LHW is most competetive division in the business with the belt swapping constantly, there is no need to bring champs from other weight classes to keep it entertaining as no-one seems to be able to protect the belt even against current contenders right now.
GSP vs. Silva makes sense because both of them have pretty much cleared their divisions already. Sure, another "superfight" of Shields vs. GSP is still coming, and many of us are waiting for Silva vs. Sonnen 2 too, but other than that I don't mind postponing other shots at the divisions while p4p rankings are finally being settled.
