i love Maia but this matchup has me worried, Muñoz is severely underated and i think he poses a lot of threats to Demian.

Hopefully Demian gets an early throw into a sub like he did with Chael because Munoz's power scares me.

horrible news everyone wants to see Paul Harris vs Maia in Brazil.

Munoz has the best right hook in the division I say he lands it and takes Maia out.

I think alot of the outcome depends on how good Munoz really is at wrestling. He looked awful Vs Okami but Maia isnt Okami.

If Maia can take him down then i believe a submission or UD is in order if he cannot i fear the worst and can see Nate style KO.

I dont want to give an out right prediction because i dont know how much Maia's wrestling has improved or how stupid Munoz's gameplan is going to be.

I think the only kind of person to avoid getting taken down is an elusive fighter (Silva) or the one hit wonder (Marquardt).

I do think Maia's chin is questionable... but I think Maia's going to get this to the ground one way or another. Whether he takes Munoz down or Munoz "stuns" Maia and jumps on top of him.
I agree. People seem to have forgotten that he took down Chael with a crazy transition into a sub. They'll end up clinching and Maia will pull guard. I'm not sure if Munoz will want to implement a GNP strategy. He'll probably want to keep it in the stand up department. Problem is Munoz is sooo sloppy in his striking. It's improved, but still sloppy. He reminds me of Koschek with that right overhand.

Think this fight is going to end up in a SD or UD. Close one, but I'll go with Maia.

Maia takes this fight. I really don't see how Munoz wins this other than catching Maia early. Striking wise, Maia isn't that bad and Munoz really isn't that good. So I don't really see Munoz finishing Maia on the feet.

On the ground, Maia dominates. And yes, Maia can get get the fight there.

Another thing, Maia is an expert at one particularly interesting skill. When somebody sprawls on him, he's really good at spinning and pulling a modified guard. No matter what you do to counter Maia he's got a counter for it.

This will be a real test for Munoz since Maia subbed wrestlers before..He needs to keep it standing up unless he think he can TKO Maia

Or he should take lessons from his camp mate and dance around

EDIT:lol I'm a mirror of Chileandude,I want Munoz to win but Maia can be deadly

Yup.

This idea that Munoz has good striking? Where did that come from?? Hes no better than Maia. He might have a decent hook, but I honestly think Maias striking is technically better. Evens them out if you ask me. They both suck at it.

Its a great fight. I cant call it.
