Dan Henderson open to working with UFC after purchase of Strikeforce

"I had no plans of leaving (Strikeforce), but I don't know what this is going to do those plans, but I have one fight left on my deal and we'll see what happens. I've never said anything bad about them. I always appreciated everything they've done for me and for the sport. It's just I was paid more money to go elsewhere, and that's what I did. Dana's the type that needs to talk a little smack if he doesn't get his way, but I've got no hard feelings about anything.

He's talked about not wanting to go back to 185 but i think he still wants that rematch with Silva.

Only one out of them I see "destroying" him is Bones, since his wrestling might just outmatch Hendo in the cage.

Hendo is a top 10 LHW in the UFC, not top 5. no way.
I rank Hendo at like the Lil Nog level (top 8 or 9)

Where does Henderson rank....very good question
Evans, Griffin, Jackson, Jones, Machida, Ruas: He's behind those six
He's ahead of these guys:Couture, Franklin, Gustafrssen, Silva
So he's likely in this group: Bader, Davis, Hamill, Nog
But I could see him losing to these guys: Brilz, Diabate, Vemola
I would say.... 9th best LHW in the division, which is about the same spot the last three SF LHW champs were.

I agree except I see him beating Griffin most days. Griffin had trouble with Tito.
I could see him beating Machida depending on wich Machida comes in to fight.
I'll give him the 7 - 8 spot.

Do you ever actually type anything without bias ?
In the other thread you say you're glad Fedor wont be in the UFC after his antics but then say you look forward to seeing Diaz who had a fight in a hospitl.............
Then you claim Henderson would get beat by the majority of the LHW division , i think you need to relax the guy competed every round with Rampage and with a better gameplan can win , Rampage had his best fight Henderson didnt id give the fight to Dan if they rematched.

That would be a really good fight, however it's invalid because Griffin is in the top five right now with his wins over Jackson and Ruas. I think that if you look at it the other way, how many guys not in the top ten could beat Henderson that list would be pretty big.

I see your point, the guy has earned his respect. But how would he do against a top prospect like Ryan Bader who's basically a version of him except a decade younger and much larger. You then have the other side of the coin with guys like Hamill and Bonnar who he is higher ranked then but if they fought I'm not sure he would be able to KO them. I think with some guys it would go to the judges and it would be close.
I like Dan a lot, but objectively speaking I don't see him making the climb to title contention in the UFC LHW divison.
