Honourable mentions:
BJ already won the WW before and LW.
Jose Aldo can do it at 145 and 155. Probably even 135 as well.
GSP at 170 - 185.
LHW and HW are two totally different weight classes, really some guys are at like 270-280 for fights, whereas LHW guys are 220 maybe. However, I don't see JBJ being successful at HW because the people are bigger and what makes JBJ really good at LHW is that he is much stronger than everyone else. If he goes to HW he won't be stronger than everyone else he will have the same strength as everyone else.

I get the feeling that Silva wouldn't take a fight with Shogun at any weight class. I think if we saw Shogun vs. Silva, it'd be the first time Silva would look nervous staring across the cage.

That's a great interview though, very funny and more down to earth than usual. Lol @ not being able to name other people at his weight class he hasn't fought hahaha. Ugh I feel so bad for Okami.

I don't know if Silva would have that many problems with Shogun, he won't get nervous or would be afraid of Shogun. I think it would be interesting however, I would still give the advantage to Silva though, Silva has long legs and long arms, and Silva's just so unpredictable but Shogun could definitely win at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if he took Silva down and controlled the fight from there.

Shogun has a way better win list than Silva. LHW is on another level from MW as well. Historically it's the most stacked division and Shogun has been ontop of it for years with the exception of like, one year.

Shogun can get wreckless at times. Anderson is the best striker in any MMA divison. Someone like that doesn't get scared of an opposing striker, as good as he may be.

Historically the UFC LHW division is as of right now one of the weakest divisions, not to mention Shogun only having one great win under his belt in the UFC. His resume is not as impressive as Silvas, not in the least bit.

Maybe like a perfectly healthy Shogun fighting Forrest (again) would kind of you a guage of the difference between the two. (I think Shogun would have a better shot to beat Forrest)... nonetheless Silva is still too dynaic, fast, instincts, too good - he's a ridiculously talented MMA fighter, more so than Shogun.

Against other top LHWs - Silva is too good a fighter. Rampage, Henderson, Forrest, Phil Davis, Rashad, Machida, JBJ - they'd all get torn up by Silva IMO.

If you believe Shogun would beat him down with his striking and skill set, many would agree with you. Not me.

Please do not compare Anderson's defense, head movement, and overall technique to Shogun. Please don't.

They are not the "exact" same stand-up fighter. Anderson is more technically versed in all areas than Shogun, impeccable defense, and his uniqueness throws off fighters.

One great win in the UFC and people are already saying this about Shogun. The guy is a great fighter, but he is simply just not on the "exact" level as Anderson on the feet.
