Confidence. If it's arrogance he'll be getting served a lovely slice of humble pie on Saturday anyways.

For a long time i thought it was confidence and thought haters were being just being haters but reading all the quotes together it does seem that maybe Jones is starting to believe his own hype a bit. As a professional fighter you pretty much have to have a little bit of cockiness but the minute Jones gets complacent he is gonna learn a tough and painful lesson.

Edit: Having GSP in his camp could be the best thing ever for Jones - If anyone can teach him about not getting complacent or over confident its George.

kind of like the quotes in the OP? It's not like it tells you the question or tone in which it was answered does it?

Agreed. I'm sure with 100 hours of interview clips you could make the pope look like an assclown too.

Agreed in the fight game you have to be confident, whats the point of Jones saying he will take the fight if he believes he is just going in the ring to get his head and brand smashed in for 5 rounds.

Thats arrogance right there. he is trying way to hard to be a badass or something. his skills are absolutely respectable and incredible but his attitude leaves a lot to be desired

I've got mixed feelings about Jones but none of the quotes in the OP bother me. They all just strike me as the healthy confidence a fighter should have before going into a fight. The way they read he doesn't seem nervous or concerned - he seems mentally ready to go out and earn his title.

I just think his "breath of fresh air" comment doesn't make sense and makes me lol.

Is it just me or does JBJ seem a little offish in that middle GIF. Not quite scared but kind of.......scared? Like he can't wait to get out of there. Rua looks like they were going to stare down again or soemthing and Jones makes for a quick exit........just my random thought and first impression.

Edit: Sorry, that first GIF wasn't complete when I first posted this. Jones does seem a little off though to me in these......
