true, but overreem started bjj at that time that JBJ is talking about, he competed at the 2005 ADCC and he already had a pretty decent bjj game, he wasnt by any means a high level black belt but he knew what to do on the ground, and even at that time was getting some nice subs on his record

JBJ is still very knew to BJJ...i REALLY doubt he could be overreem in BJJ or striking at any point in his career

eh, i bones is incredibly young and successful with his style given his age. I think if we could create fantasy matchups of a certain era Reem vs a certain era Bones, Bones would win some eventually, unless he doesnt live up to his potential. I see him working hard to round out his game after the Shogun fight.

The one thing I really disagreed with was his claim that he thinks he's taller than Reem. He does have longer arms but Reem's still got an inch according to every reliable source. And it's not like it matters when Reem's outweighing him by forty pounds.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

Alistair Overeem is not 6'5.

Strikeforce has him listed at 6'4. Also Heath Herring was complaining that they made Alistair taller than him in the Pride video game and they stood together in front of the mirror and they were the same height.

Jones has much more length than Overeem too. He has shorter torso, longer arms, longer legs.

That said, I can't really tell how tall Jones is. In the weigh-in stand-off photos, he looked about 2 inches taller than Bader (listed at 6'2) but he was the same height as Brandon Vera (listed at 6'2), and the same as Bonner (listed at 6'4).

Either way, Jones is much, much better than Overeem was at his age, and much physically stronger. Overeem had zero wrestling when he was at 205 and basically capitulated with every take-down attempt.

well obviously he's a better wrestler than reem was, who had essentially no wrestling experience at the time.

as for the heights, i dunno, i mean he sure looks more than a half inch taller than peter aerts and it never seemed like badr hair was that much taller than him. i guess heights can vary quite a bit from basic physiology, posture, and who's taking the measurement.

Man if jon jones just keep his mouth shut and said nothing at all he would be a fan favourite. Its sad he has not even fought shogun or a legit contender yet. Imagine after the shogun fight i can honestly say my hate for chael will disspear and will move on to jones if he keeps talking. The shit he says is not even trash talking or smart ass comments. Its just shounds retarded making me question jon jones intellegant. Chael sonnen taught he was the best mw in the world. Jones thinks he up there with god.

I dunno if comparing myself to someone my opponent destroyed would be my favoured approach.

Maybe if I ever get a fight with Dan Henderson I will start by comparing myself to Michael Bisping.
