I think you're right on this one, Shogun had a slow start and I think Rashad could've taken him for a win today. And boy would I ever be pissed if Rashad got that win so in that sense I'm pretty damn happy that Jones was the one in the cage an hour ago. I'm saddened that Shogun lost, but at least he lost to someone I consider to be a skilled and deserving fighter.

Gay... so they injected a little excitement into the title picture. Holy crap!!! you mean a title shot between two former training partners should be exciting? crazy.

Relax. Why do people seem to strive to have their favorite sport to be portrayed as boring as possible? Obviously creating unnecessary drama is a little much. However, bringing up drama and excitement where it is necessary is what they should be doing.

MMA's "hardcore" fans seem to be too critical of the sport they supposedly love....

I feel the same way, one of the big problems I had with all of this crazy Rua support was that I felt like he was objectively the number 4 205'r in the world behind Jones, Evans, and A. Silva.

He was given a huge gift getting a title shot after beating Chuck and Mark and not having to face Evans, Griffin, or Jackson. Now with the way he won (after losing to the champ) and the way he lost (decimated by the challenger).

He may go down in history as the worst LHW UFC champion of all time, and that really sucks for a beloved fighter.

I agree but in many cases (like tonight) you can't really blame the fighter that walked in because more than likely they are told to do it.
