Very very sad news, but it was time i rather see him out of the ufc than getting hurt in the octagon. Even though he did not win much in the ufc he is sitll one of the great ufc hws in my book.

Devastated. A win here would see mirko retire on a high note..

Sad, but it had to happen. I hope he retires; the fighting spirit does not burn inside anymore for him.

absolutely shattered. Although i agree that is best for cro cop. Its a weird feeling for me. For so long i looked at these guys in awe (cro cop, fedor, big nog, wanderlei, shogun , lil nog) and thought they were invincible. I guess everything has to come to an end. Long live pride

For all those people who lost their lives and livelihoods in the Victorian bushfires my thoughts are with you!

I wish it didnt have to come to this but Crocop had to go willingly or unwillingly. He's not the same fighter anymore. He looks aged and doesnt have any explosiveness in his striking.

I wish fighters knew when to hang it up.

this saddens me.... but its for the best.... i thought Crocop was lookin pretty decent and thinking, if he went to LHW he could make some noise still! and then he got laid out again like 30 seconds after i said that to my friend..... it killed me inside a lil.... but i think its time.... Mirko needs to step aside.... sad as it makes me its true....

Love all the pride guys that dominated, Mirko, Wanderlei, etc...but they were all juicing over there. They all came to UFC supposedly in their prime and got pretty much dominated by mid-tier UFC guys...everyone kept blaming the cage bieng that big a difference but honestly after watching them in pride and seeing what they physically looked like and fought like in Pride they were all gettin a lil help

The thing that saddens me the most isn't the fact that he lost, but who he lost to. Brendan Schaub is alright, but IMO he'll probably never be a top five heavyweight.
