Inside the UFC question???

Did anybody catch last weeks Inside the UFC when Dana White pointed to that guy on a magazine and said "I really want this guy"? Who was the guy on the magazine? I'm not to educated on Pride, but I thought is was Gomi.

Fav Fighters: Arlovski, Filipovic, Franklin, Hughes, Fedor

Future UFC Heavyweight Championship Bout: Cro Cop vs. Arlovski

yeah it wasnt gomi, it was norifumi "kid" yamamoto. he's probably the best k-1 guy there is right now. he'd be an amazing addition to the lightweight division. he's 15-1 in k-1 and shooto. he's got 11 (t)ko's to his credit and 2 submissions. he's a beast.

i was really curious about this too. i thought it was gomi just cuz i could tell it was an asian lightweight(well it looked like it) and it makes sense that dana would want the #1 lightweight. im guessing it was more of a thought caught on camera rather than an anouncement that he was determined to get yamamoto. not saying anything against yamamoto, just saying that i could imagine dana is lookin more towards top 3 ranked fighters

This has been discussed before, and other posters on here have said that Dana has wanted Kid Yamamoto for quite some time.

Dana wants to break into the Japanese market, and Kid is quite possibly the biggest star(MMA wise) in Japan. Hell, he even has his own Reebok deal. Kid also fights a style Dana just loves. Then again, Gomi does as well.

im all for seeing more k1 guys in the ufc. their fights are always exciting. i guess i looked passed the entertainment prospect of it because of all dana's talk about getting the best fighters in the world. does he have a reebok logo on his shorts?
